Suggestion: Improve doors to protect against grieving

Here in suggestion reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/OneLifeSuggest … t_against/

Just saw this animal griefing video here, where the griefer put away the door to let the animals enter the building and kill all:
https://youtu.be/6MUZ8bXZmEk?t=170

With the new leadership system,  wouldn't it be possible to only allow the top leader (and of course the owner) remove doors / walls?

On top of that an exiled player (and any strangers from another village) could be locked out by the doors by default.

This would allow to use buildings to protect oneself and the family from strangers and wild animals.

UPDATE:
to be clear, im not suggesting using gates to protect doors, i am suggesting upgrading doors / walls to work / protect similar to gates / fences

with the current leadership system, by default you could be allowed to pass doors of your allies. Once you are exiled you loose the right to pass them.

the majority leader could be allowed to "remove" doors / gates / walls / fences with "hard work"

doors could also stop people carry wild boars by default from going in (gates still would allow it)

protecting against animals through standing on items close to walls for me feels more like a bug, it works, but i see no game logic to it.

I explain a story, long ago I decided to play a life as a killer with wild animals

I collected 6 young wild boar and I fed some young in a kitchen with a lot of people around me ...

NOBODY did anything to stop me, they didn't even pay attention to me, everyone was doing various tasks or talking to each other and in my intentions ...

I just want you to see that doors don't matter much if someone wants to hurt

PS .: One of the boars killed the last girl in the family and the family went extinct ...

yea, i guess thats learning.  The first time they may not know what to do. They second time they may think about what to do.
At least in the video they tried to hide behind doors.... which did not end up well...

For sure there would always be ways to hurt others if you want. but at least you can give more chance to defend....

I don't think doors would work.  See Pein's video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBf4UM6QQTo&t=216s

for an example of domestic boars causing problems insides of a building.

lol yea....

at least the boars will with doors then either stay inside or outside...

and the other thing is learning that beeing close to boars might not be the best...

Re: Suggestion: Improve doors to protect against grieving

i did discover this by accident, but you cannot make a gate in front of a door, even if you could, you need 2 more blocking elements on sides

on sides, you can do it first but you need to be quick like solo watering walls and pickaxing them or solo mallet shovel on fences, it will turn sideways in a second you make it

that prevents bears but not boars, you can just drop it inside and has the reverse effect, its flawed by design
maybe if the first piglets wouldn't be deadly that would fix it
there is an even more dick version of that i won't reveal

there are ways to prevent animals entering with corner trick entrances, or you can gtt inside the pens since they cant enter, but if not you can always go in L shape next to them, or stand on items NEAR walls. They can move through items, they still can't stand on them.

In rift, the boars did the revenge faster than any killer would have been able. I would prefer player kills instead of ruining engines.

Re: Suggestion: Improve doors to protect against grieving

there is an issue that we would build doors then not gates, if normal doors work that way, then a pine door would be stuck to the pens, makes the springs useless if it does that, now they work a bit backwards in that regard

it still won't solve the issue of first piglets as they can be dropped inside

code locks would be nice, at least a safer way to lock stuff, in rust they worked way better than keys and we would have a way to lock stuff for generations, door hacking was a way to bypass that in some modded servers which is okay if its complex/rare

you can store piglets in clothing so that is kinda weird

i mean its still flawed cause every tile has 8 ways to be crossed so to be safe you need to have 3 or 4 walls around you, still requires some thinking

the root of the problem is that the first domestic boar is deadly
