Now posse needs 66% of town's population. This is good to impose sanctions. But how do you conquer?
This game has WAR declaim and war sword. They won't be used from now on?
Sorry my poor english.

Um, yeah, jason pretty much nerfed the sword a long time ago, they are not really viable for those things for a time now.
Also also, having wars is counterproductive nowadays, since every family needs each other to literally survive the tech climbing, so war is useless now.
I guess you could pillage for their resources but it would be more simple to just go there and ask for the stuff or to just steal it since no one really has a good organization to prepare a posse that fast.

Yeah, war sword is a mostly vestigial at this point.
It will be revisited in the future.

Aw, dang it, here we go again!
Quick question, if the war swords are going to get reworked in the future, do you plan to change the meta so families dont need each other again or make it so families are more independent? asking this because if we make swords viable again then why we should use them against other families if we need them for their special items?

oh really? I trust you Jason
I really like pillage and defense against that.

Well, the last incarnation of war swords could only be used if war was declared bilaterally.
Not sure how it will work in future, but one ill-formed idea is that it could be between kingdoms that declare war somehow instead.
Also, all the posse changes and such make murderer slowdown (holding bloody weapon) and probably even healing murder wounds vestigial. This stuff has changed a lot over time.
War swords were only special because they didn't get stuck in your hand or cause post-kill slow down.

why should villages go to war with the current system? except for Bobo, but he dont need wars, he has already thinks like engine recycling and wild boars to mess with.
by the way, if you want to know why Bobo became like that, his mother was drinking far too much wine and did not take care of him. So dont blame bobo, blame his mother:

an old person walking to you saying "wehwqewhahj" could mean peace or war and repeating it would trigger that scenario
I trolled some family 2000 tiles away into war and they were so afraid it gonna happen
there is a problem with the race system that makes us need each other so only idiots would want a war
also there is a problem that we can't make interesting wars since moving a lot of people on far distances is impractical, it does not worth it, players might have some babies on the way and it's kinda weird, homelands made that a bit better
for a proper war we would need:
-predefined sides with each of the races (brown, black, ginger at least) so your team helps you, the other team is always enemy
-predefined team for a short time (2 days-7 days?) so people can feel loyalty to their team and oppose the other
-a goal and a reward why the two sides fight, what is the benefit
-an arena/castle/fort fight where all participants can travel instantly and possibly use a different combat system (skill based and some luck based butt mostly equal)
this would have a weird side effect that one ginger family would kill the other ginger family. but it's good since we can have more eves.
also helping your team would help long term and hurting enemy hurts them long term.
kinda like north vs south wars. you could also split the Eve line so anything above the equator is red team, below is blue team, each new eve spawn is mirrored for them, red would have 3+1 eves, blue would have 3+1 eves, each player joins the current underdog and stays there until the arc ends
may be a choice for people to play together with their chosen friends
swords could be used for player killing and knives for food/animals

Would love to have your family/race locked for 2-7 dayes. That way would actually provoke more trade/thieffing/looting and all good stuff. Towns would actually need a guardsman. Nowdayes all these feel like nothing... Eventually you are just going to get borned in to that family you just took stuff/killed people. So you are basically just trading/thieffing/looting yourself.

I mean team locked
teams would be 3 families, you could be still brown/black/ginger or white (we talking about splitting 50 people so hardly)
but you would be in red team for a week or blue team for a week for example

War would be interesting if it was more than towns raiding each other until one of them dies out.
I imagine some people going on a war and some staying at home, struggling to keep things running with less people in town. It would be hard, but the reward would be great... not sure what the reward would be though. Just loot you get from raiding a town doesn't sound attractive enough to fight for it with your life (or lifes). Now when I visit other towns for latex, for example, it often turns out that they don't even have any just because they didn't care.
As mentioned, the war system doesn't work with family specialties. Partially because biome experts can hide their precious loot in their biomes. The posse system allows to chase after your victim through unhospitable terrain to kill but you still can't pick up any items laying in snow.

Mental note: Bobo got 11 engines fighting and killing ...
I don't understand why this community is so obsessed with ending the killings of other families
Bobo has shown that he can achieve EVERYTHING (engines, leadership food, horses, clothing, etc ...) with only 4 players in his gang, this is also a game strategy, right?
Why ban or ban a player who has achieved a way to achieve everything, without creating it with his hands ...
Nowhere in this game does it say how you should play ... this is a Sandbox
Achieving everything is not the purpose of this game? ... what is the purpose? How do we have to play this game ...? because there are rules for killing other players, but there are no rules for stealing objects ...?
Also battles, fights, drama and death is an important part of this game and some players like this drama ...
To remove the drama in this game is to definitely kill the game
I only see a developer changing numbers in a table because he does not want to create new defense mechanics, nor does he want to solve a defective PVP system where the 2 players have the same conditions, nor does he want to add other possibilities to stop a griefer (stun, prisons, etc, ...) and all this to "try to solve" a problem that CANNOT BE SOLVED BECAUSE THIS IS A MULTIPLAYER SANDBOX game
Match the conditions on an individual level and provide more possibilities in the game of the PVP Mr. Jason, stop changing numbers in the game tables ... those modifications are only temporary and shows that you are patching your game sloppily
When players talk about creating new content, we are not only asking you to create many more objects ... but we are also asking you to create new mechanics to balance and enrich these aspects of the game (PVP, temperature, diseases, etc ... .)
