cant find iron anywhere

i know it got updated but when i search the ley lines i find nothing whats going on?

exactly why i was so confused reading the update post about it, seems so arbitrary and confusing, for old and new players alike for no reason other then to be complicated...

Look to the left/right along the ley line shared by your well.  There are iron veins where that line crosses grey biomes.

That is all.

Also, if your village founders weren't careful, you may (in rare circumstances) have no iron veins to the left or right of your well.

I'm fixing it this week so that you can dig a second well later, to unlock your family's iron, if this happens (only the "first well" unlocks iron, currently, but this week, it will be "the first well that actually unlocks iron", so any wells that don't unlock any iron don't count).

it still not fixes the issue of bad outposts

basically a bunch of people moved out without iron, you look for the leylines but there is none
it's already a secondary outpost, you don't even know the original town
not even talking about the third outpost, not like going 200 tiles to find a new well site is easy, but with dumb eves is already ruined and you don't know it yet

we got no control  and no information about who goes where, it's not like the entire city moves, generally just one girl hoards something in a horse cart and goes

While I like having finite iron (infinite with kerosene), I really dislike the way how unlocking iron veins work and their grid placement.

Damn, looking for a natural spring that has at least 2 iron veins and is in a pretty decent place in grassland, with easy access to swamps and yellow prairies must be really time consuming and  annoying for Eves.

This is another system where the changes to iron were way more complicated than they needed to be. For most resources finding them should be easy for new players...refining them and building advanced things should be hard, maybe even have a failure rate the more advanced it is.
