Healing arrow wounds

So many griefers use arrows to kill.. Unfortunately, they're the most difficult wounds to heal. Most people don't know how to do it...

I really think the hot knife should be taken out of the process.

There isn't enough time to find someone with a knife, that also happens to be close to pads, thread, and fire.. AND knows how to use it.

It's so frustrating to be working to help a town and be murdered by some ass hole with a bow.. On top of that, you become lineage banned, and can't go back to finish what you were working on. -.-

Re: Healing arrow wounds

Another problem is that people always pick up thread and knives. It's impossible to keep them in a designated healing area. Items used for healing should have no other use to prevent people from picking them up.

Knives have many uses in addition to being a weapon. It would be nice to make special kinds of knives for special purposes only. Like butter knives.

Playing OHOL optimally is like cosplaying a cactus: stand still and don't waste the water.

Re: Healing arrow wounds

I'm reminded of the time a friend of mine was trying to separate two frozen hamburger patties using a butter knife.  He slipped and end up going to the emergency room with a butter knife impaled all the way through his hand.

In the wrong hands, even butter knives can be dangerous.

...

But seriously ... please let us spread butter with a non-lethal weapon, Jason.   I want to be able to eat buttered bread at any age.  I promise not to stab anyone with the butter knife (intentionally).

Re: Healing arrow wounds

Makes bows and arrows the easiest and most accessible weapon to make

Make arrow wounds hardest to heal...?

Solution:  auto-targetting undodgeable ranged attacks

Problem solved.

Re: Healing arrow wounds

It's quite hard to heal an arrow wound in time even with the know-how. I think each of the steps to fix the arrow wound should extend the death timer.

Re: Healing arrow wounds

We totally need butter knives!  I hate eating all those warm corpses without a pat of butter on top.  What do you take me for?  A savage?  I'll have you know I always use the conveniently placed toothpick inserted into the meat after I'm done!

I'm a little surprised alcohol hasn't been introduced yet to be honest.

Re: Healing arrow wounds

My problem isn't how complicated it is to heal the wound, but how quickly someone dies because of it.

Dying fast from a knife or sword is totally reasonable, but dying from an arrow within the same timespan suggests a bullseye headshot.

If one would die more slowly from an arrow wound, surely we would be able to heal them, nerfing bow and arrows in the process.

That would be a good solution.
