So in my first run from the server reset I had 18 kids. Yes. 18. It was crazy to have that many as eve. On the second run I had... 1. Even though I had the highest wild yum I could manage. How is that possible? The first run I was cold, starving eating mostly the same thing (berries) when I could find one. I think it was the area ban since other people were getting kids at that time.
If it isn't area ban I wish we could figure this out... I went from age 14 to 40 with just one birth (a boy, instant SID) -- this makes if feel like you don't even have a chance of getting a town going. Could the game look at factors like:
-how recently a kid with X last name was born?
-how many girls are left with X last name?
And maybe over-ride the area ban if a lineage is about to die. It sucks to build a camp, farm up food make little baby shoes out of rabbit fur but the little ones never show up. Likewise it kinda sucks to get hit with a baby every 40 seconds with no time to even move or eat. It seems the distribution isn't very equal and the factors that I can control (like yum) don't seem to be the major variable.
Especially with Eves closer together (which I like) more and more people will be banned out of the major areas. In my case I wasn't even in a town, just off on my own, but probably too close to something to get any kids. It's mysterious.

Yes, this could be a big problem. If eves are places 100 tiles away from eachother but the area ban is 200 tiles that means you get cucked by nearby eves.
Towns won't be possible to be within 200 tiles of any other town.

Whoops, will fix this.
This is a live server setting that can be changed w/out restarting them.
Currently 200.
What do you suggest? 40?
200 actually doesn't seem that crazy, right? 5 villages away.

I'm flying high. But the worst is never first, and there's a person that'll set you straight. Cancelling the force within my brain. For flying high. The simulator has been disengaged.

50 to 100 is probably reasonable in the current state though you have to remember some eves are going to have to leave their springs anyways (either due to mass crowding in the area or bad spring locations.)
fug it’s Tarr.

Is there still a lineage ban? With <=100 tile area ban which would be needed for 100 tile spaced springs/eves/towns might need a lineage ban again else it could be easy to reborn to the same lineage.

Lineage ban area radius is now 100. Was 200 before.
