A way to tell if your family name is dead on family tree.

I look at the tree and it seems that it's over. The little Eve camp I lived in for 60 years has had no new births for an hour so... they are all dead... well, it was a nice---

WAIT.

*refresh the page* suddenly a bunch of people appear since some old woman died with a ton of grand-kids and great-grand-kids! They live! But, it always feels so open ended... Are they dead *now* ?

IDK closure would be nice. Something that says "this line has died."

I also don't know if newer players know what's at stake-- and that would hammer it home.

Maybe the background changes to soft gray when the family is dead...

Along with this the change to limit the reuse of the same last name over and over ... it would make the death of a name much more meaningful... and make keeping it going more powerful.

Re: A way to tell if your family name is dead on family tree.

yeah you might catch a death on normal page and then you see mother is living, the only way to know is if someone has last words, or if the last female you see died 60 min or more which is still messed up cause can be first girl of your aunt and last girl of your other aunt same generation but 26 min apart

Playing OHOL optimally is like cosplaying a cactus: stand still and don't waste the water.
