YES or NO: dyes and nationality?

Right now we have only red and blue, but there could be more dyes
Dyes: Yellow, green, purple, orange, pink, light blue, brown

Nationality could be just flags and by touching them, you are that nationality, but only european, asian or african because these were the only places people first made countries and to get like USA or Australia, you need special tools or something

Flags aka nationalities:
Britain
France
Germany
Sweden
Rome
Italy
Spain
Portugal
China
Russia
India
Sumer
Egypt
Vikings

Feel free to add nationalities that are in mainland Europe, Asia, Africa

Re: YES or NO: dyes and nationality?

Yes to more dye colors: gold, green, purple, black.

And some game relevant flags, like the Leaf, Carrot, and Wolf to match the crowns.

Re: YES or NO: dyes and nationality?

Why bother using nationalities when there is really unlikely chance to meet anyone from same country? Just waste of resources and time imo.

If you ever enter Pea (Helkama turns into random name) family, you need the lottery ticket picked up. My baby names given can be absolutely random.

Met six people from my country (Poland) and yeah the chance is unlikely but there are many people from all over Europe playing this and I even met some from Brazil.

Still I dont think we need nationalites, just more dyes please! (And purple should be rarer than gold If added)

Re: YES or NO: dyes and nationality?

The only way to get purple dye was by juicing an exotic species of snail from a certain river, so until we get rivers (which we need) no purple dye:(

Re: YES or NO: dyes and nationality?

No on the nationalities. This game is about community, not division. Or, if you're gonna do it, the nationalities have to be made up by the players.

Re: YES or NO: dyes and nationality?

I'm not interested in nationality. What can you do with it in the game?

But it would be nice to have a variety of dyed and dyed clothes.

!eve painter! You will have a color name.
I can teach you if i'm not busy. just talk to me.

I second this, minus purple dye maybe- or make purple dye super taxing to get. In the real world it was very rare and hard to obtain, thus why it's considered a color of royalty.

Flags to match the leaf/carrot/wolf crown would be epic though. And a mushroom crown/flag would be dope.

Re: YES or NO: dyes and nationality?

blue+red = purple
honestly letters were bad cause jason tried to make it more lifelike

we need only rgb or cmyk then combine the rest
well it would make sense add yellow, then we could already have orange, green, purple
then white and black (which could use ashes and salt for example),
i would be okay with the rainbow colors plus black, and white the default (reset is always good to have)

Re: YES or NO: dyes and nationality?

Purple dye was considered too expensive for some real life KINGS!  Mixing red and blue dye will not do.

Re: YES or NO: dyes and nationality?

letters are bad because they are not viable while being desired for their functionality. Purple dye would be desired for the vanity of it, so it's not really an issue if it's rare.

I think it would actually be cool if one of the dyes was quite rare, gives people something else to do.

Re: YES or NO: dyes and nationality?

Ya all sayin for purple to rare, OK!, but how to make it wink

Purple dye:
Snailed river (3 in river) + hand = snail
Snail + bowl = bowl of snails
Bowl of snails (full bowl, 7 like berries) + stone = purple dye

Snailed river: VERY RARE!
Regenerates every 2 hours
Empty snail river: snailless river

Re: YES or NO: dyes and nationality?

+support, though we have no rivers yet, so snailed ponds could do.  Either way, we will get purple dye eventually, and we should get rivers!

Re: YES or NO: dyes and nationality?

If we get to build nations, I’d prefer if we could make up our own. Anyway, at the level of tech we’rebat, it couldn’t be my country. It was only created in the sixtewnth century.

Level of tech =/= Time period. One Hour One Life is actually set in an apocalyptic future, not the past- hence why we have Bison that turn into Cows, rather than Aurochs, which is what the modern cow was originally domesticated from. They're extinct, so they're not around. It's also why mammoths and such will never be a thing.

All countries that exist today would technically exist, at least in concept. I can't imagine Jason would put real-life nationalities and such in the game though- it'd create some division between players, I think.

I like the idea of flags/nations that match the crown types we've got atm though. Carrot Clan, Leaf Nation, Wolf Dynasty.. Maybe add some new ones- Mushroom, Snake, Goose, maybe Rose would be some neat ones.
