Item wishlist

Dug through the first several pages, surprised not to see a thread like this, I'm sure there have been plenty in the past.

Mine is a short list, what's yours?

Hot Steel Ingots stackable up to three. (they'll cool, so I guess you'd need cold iron ingots stackable too)
Hit a full stack of three Hot Steel Ingots with a Smithing Hammer for an Anvil.
Anvil has all the same right hand side smithing recipes as Flat Rock, ie all the "use thing on flat rock" but no "use flat rock on thing"
Only smithing items can be placed on Anvils, including adobe, tongs and hammer. Doesn't block movement, either cannot be picked up, or drastically slows movement when carried by an adult.

also

Flint + Hot iron ingot = Empty tinder box.
Empty tinder box + Tinder = Tinder box (2)
Tinder box + Kindling = Tinder box (-1) + Fire
Tinder box (last) + Kindling = Empty tinder box + Fire

Re: Item wishlist

I like boggers suggestions.
Starting a fire when all of the juniper trees in the area is cut down is such a drag.

Re: Item wishlist

i would like to see french fries
Make us able to harvest fat from dead pigs
and add a steel frying pan put fat in pan heat it and add cut potatos

Also a little pet peeve from me is the firebow doesnt break, like what is the rope made from steel?
Why not make it break after so many uses and add a flint/steel kind of thing as a unbreakable option
not needing a long shaft and no leave but you would still need tinder

im eve groot or eve degroot and if i dont care and spawn next to an item ill call myself eve (itemname)

Yes to everything you said. I've been saying this in many posts, but i also dislike that skins dont decay while wool and rabbit clothing do. Some stuff need rebalancing I think.

Re: Item wishlist

glass, glass pens, underground glass pens, overground glass pens xD

longer fences/walls/rails so more balanced to cost

sand/soil piles blockign movement or digged pits which act as animal pen instead of a wall

generally better build materials like a tile blocking building/planting, door which only open to humans

Yeah, that would be awesome.

Maple tree + bowl of water = Thriving maple tree
Thriving maple tree + 15 min = maple tree with branch.

Not an item, but multiple home / waypoint markers that just point to the closest one.

straw + weak skewer = straw mat.
Straw mat decays once at 5 mins then disappears at 10 mins, indicating that your rabbit camp is not abandoned.

Book covers so that pages that go together aren't tossed about and a way to dispose of paper. Book burnings to get rid of all those random pages like "hi" would be great.

Re: Item wishlist

I wan't something you can make sound with to alert your fellow players about your whereabouts so that it's less easy to lose one another while trekking.
What if you typed "Aaaaa" caused your sprite to emit a lil sound for the surrounding players?
What if the horns on the muflon skeletons could be used for something even louder?
At the moment I have only the pitter-patter of my fellow players tiny feet to go by when I need to locate them from out of view-distance.

Re: Item wishlist

Edible carnitas, straight from the bowl (I have yet to see *anyone* making tacos)
Use more of the seal than just the fur (edible raw blubber?)
A super rare, but much faster and more unpredictable predator that can't be triggered/guided. Lions? Lion attacks should be devastating and terrifying, but it'd be amazing to wear a lion pelt.
Domesticated dogs (fight off lions & bears)
Fishing (give those worms a use again): yew shaft + ball of thread = strung fishing pole, + bone needle = fishing pole with hook, + worm = baited fishing pole, + ice hole = ice fishing hole, + 10sec = caught fish

I like the anvil idea, but anvil griefing will become a pain. Maybe require cooperation to create one, like digging up a staked berry bush? Two fast strikes then a bowl of water on a pile of hot ingots, or something, in quick succession.

Re: Item wishlist

By anvil griefing do you mean people turning all the available iron ore into anvils? That would take a bit of effort and was my reasoning for suggesting 3 hot steel, rather than 5 or 6 which feels like it makes more sense. You'd need to have three unused steel ingots laying around the forge for it to be an easy grief. It'd be less of a target than for eg. turning the kiln adobe into a new oven base. Plus would it be all that bad to have a few anvils next to the forge if there is iron enough to make them? It's not as though having 3 flat rocks near the forge is a bad thing. I dunno, maybe 4 steel would be better since forges tend to only have a max of 3 crucibles on the go due to 3 coal per basket, so hammer + 4 hot steel would take significantly more prep....

Re: Item wishlist

Perhaps book would make sense. If cow would be killable and skinnable, you would make two book covers with cow skin (because cow hides are really large), of course you would need to let it be tanned first on air, so
skewer+string = stringed skewer
stringed skewer + stringed skewer = unfinished tannery
unfinished tannery +  skewer = unfinished tannery
unfinished tannery +  skewer = tannery
cow skin + ball of thread with needle = prepared cowskin + needle
pre- cowskin + tannery = Cowskin tannery

would take 15 minutes for it to tan the cowskin, when finished, one can pick it up without damaging tannery, and cut with flint into separate cover pieces. With ball of thread and needle you stitch up the cover and add in stack of papers (I think papers need to be stackable, one that is on ground would be the last page.)

Also, this would give more jobs for villagers as branch farmer.

If you ever enter Pea (Helkama turns into random name) family, you need the lottery ticket picked up. My baby names given can be absolutely random.
