So I've done what I said i would and tried to be a "good guy". Majority of times I was left to die by eves or some fully geared person in a city telling me they are "sorry". I never sought revenge. First notable life was as a Male named Ross. Mother cared for me and gave me clothes. One guy called us Niggers and tried to kill all blacks. I hunted rabbits and made some clothes for people. Died at 60. Another life I was a male blacksmith, little kid tried stealing my tools. I've griefed many times so I instantly recognize anyone else griefing. She tried hiding my hammer in a tree but i shot her. Ended with suicide because females died.
Another life I was a female farmer. I constantly had to collect seeds and soil to feed hoards of kids. I made an example of the worst offender, a little boy. They finally started eating from baskets. It was good until the mother shot me.
Then I was pie maker in an overpopulated city. I slaved away to make pies that got eaten up in minutes. Did that until famine hit, starved at 58.
So city life wasn't working, too many idiots. I did try to have kids but they aren't worth noting because they all died as toddlers.
I decided to try as an Eve. I did okay for myself, had a good farm spot and lots of resources. All my kids claimed not to be new, they all died at early ages. One of them even managed to cut down all my wild seeds before starving.
So basically trying to be good and helpful isn't as fullfilling as I've been told. On the upside I've also learned that griefing is also pointless. All towns Will just kill themselves.

i just murdered 3 guys and took over the city i spawned, guy was rude, killed him, then his brother started chasing, then his sister looted first guy, i dont need competitors on babies and might as well kill their lineage, replace with own.
little girl sheared last sheep over and over, and soil was scarce. had like 5 kids, raised them each, this granddaughter couldnt be talked with so stabbed her, then both my daughters and granddaughter starved herself somehow. benny hill music and bow fight, was funny.
had several eve runs, suiciders take sometime 3 min to run away, everytime i set up tools, no kid helps making farm or put on a bad spot. I m grinding full hour, they just want to munch carrots from start to the end. If i dont have 2 daughters at least my lineage dies, if i do, i cannot make bows, pouches and smithing hammer.

You actually need to be pretty skilled and proactive to keep something going. That means you have to go around telling everyone to leave carrots to seed and setting a place for them to seed, long before there is a seed issue. In a famine you also have to run out and collect food and bring it back for others. You need to feed yourself and at least two or three other people. Which helps them survive, but also prevents them from eating seed carrots, because they will definitely do that if you don't bring them food. You also want to make the farms as large as possible, so when half the land goes unplanted, there is still enough producing food you wont all starve.
As for kids dying, that happens all the time. That is why you have like 6 or 7 children, so that two or three may live. With children it helps to be proactive as well, and for example tell all the children where berry bushes and cactus are for emergency food. Many will not listen but it might save those who do if something happens with the farm.

Lol yeah, if you don't carry your village it isn't too likely to carry itself..

Honestly, I think i'm gonna go back to griefing. I don't enjoy grinding for an hour trying to babysit stupid villages. If your town has to rely on one good player to survive then your retarded. Might as well just cry "f" whenever you need food.

That is why you teach the children, so there is more good people. If you don't teach the children anything, you can't expect much from them but for being a bunch of newbies.

At least you got a 'sorry', instead of being left to die as toddlers.

It's sort of amazing and sad how many people are like this. So murder-happy. Like an itch that constantly needs scratching and any excuse will do.
