Anafae asked about this on discord. I suspect it's impossible for any family that had an iron unlock previously.
Anyone live through the apocalypse and attempt an iron unlock?

I checked the code. Primary homelands *should* get reset as part of the map wipe, so no family will have one on record after the apocalypse.

Doesn't the generational decay of food values basically doom lineages after apocalypses anyway? Don't see how unlocking their iron will help pre-apocalypse families much since they're probably just gonna starve to death until that's addressed. Maybe that's by design idk. Also seems iron being locked might not even be an issue after all.
For the time being, I think we have enough content.

There were some families that apparently survived through it, though not long.
If tall/short objects interacted differently this: https://imgur.com/K5s8cda instead of this: https://imgur.com/ZWt4IXb, there would be more possibility for survival even with food generational decay.
