I see people doing "curse my baby" on SIDs a LOT. If your baby SIDs, it doesn't hurt your score.

If a baby runs away, then I can see cursing that baby. But curses last 90 days now-- NINETY DAYS!

What if a family had only one female left, so they were continually slash dying to try to be born as a girl in that family? Or just wanted to do a project that only a specific family has the resources for? Whatever their reason, they did the polite thing by slash dying, and they do not deserve to be cursed for it.
It annoys you? Fine, I have a proposition.

If you do "curse my baby," or "curse (baby name)" AFTER a SID, it should only last an hour.

You don't have to deal with that from them for the rest of your life, and they don't get felony charges for the next quarter of a year for trying to get to a specific family.

If they are running away before you got to name them for whatever reason, "curse my baby" should have full effect if done during a baby's life, or if the baby died from anything other than SID.

If you "curse my baby" while they are alive, and they SID AFTER the curse, the curse should still have full effect. That way if they were running, and got cursed, they cant just SID to avoid punishment.

Curses done to the baby's previous life name should still have full effect. (Slash dying next life shouldn't prevent curses against your previous identity's dead body from having full effect)

EDIT: Babies also can't aggro bear caves, so the worst they can do before the age of 2, the SID time limit, is run away to die. Which is still able to be cursed normally under the suggested parameters for the new system.

SHIP FOAM is a definite bear griefer. I was born during a bear attack. We had pads, so I was going to boil some water to make a red cross apron. I set up a fire and went to look for rose madder while I waited on the fire to die, and had a bowl of water, and the apron next to it. When I came back, they had put the water bowl on the coals. So I added the rose madder and dyed the apron.

They said "What the **** are you doing? We need pads"

I said I set this up to make a medical apron because we already have a lot of pads.

She said "I dont care what you were trying to do, you griefed my water"

I showed her our three bowls full of pads, one of which was in the middle of the farm. We had needles and thread, but there were no balls of thread nearby for her to "make pads" with. I was very confused.

She asked why the f*** there were pads in the farm.

I was like "I don't know." Because I didnt. She then cursed me, and called me a re****, fa****, and proceeded to continually verbally attacked me with a slew of other words.

She was following me around and picking up everything I tried to use, then tried to convince our mom to exile me. My mom killed herself because she got sick of the arguing.

I then cursed her back. x SHIP FOAM x

With all the negativity lately, this system is definitely warranted.

This is why a curse forgiveness system is warranted.

I made a suggestion post for this here.

I propose the ability to remove a curse that you placed on someone.

Key reasons:

-The "Curse You" command has been known to curse the wrong person on occasion.

-If someone did something worth cursing in the past, but you find them working hard for the family in another life, there should be a chance to forgive someone that is trying to do better.

-People have the power to potentially boot someone away from them for 30 days, but cannot forgive them of this fate.

-A cursed individual should have the chance to redeem themselves.

-An exiled person may be redeemed, but not a cursed person.

Suggested features for this process:

-Obviously you should only be able to remove the curse which you placed on someone.

-If an individual is un-cursed, the black username should become purple, or some other color, for the remainder of the thirty days, so that you may still keep an eye out for them.

-The un-curse should be a "/command" which does not display publicly that they have been redeemed. If the cursed person was not initially aware that they were cursed, and you un-curse them publicly, they may curse you out of revenge for the initial curse. Furthermore, a cursed individual would then not be able to bully you until they can see that they were un-cursed. (Bullying examples: Following you around and picking up everything you try to use, framing you for griefing etc)

-This should be a given, but un-cursing should not return your curse token early. For example, someone says "Curse You," and it hits the wrong person. You would be able to un-curse that person, but would not get your curse token back until it would normally come back.

Yeah Jason, why can people remove an engine, but not a stanchion kit?
Now you gotta change that stanchion kit is removable from the well too?

Upgrades are the achievement of a city, if they manage to make a stanchion kit before they run out of water, that means they are decent. No different for Newcomen or engine tech.

Why you try to force high tech to be useless? why you allow ruining things with 2 clicks which need an hour to be made?

In fair defense on the removal of the diesel engine being so easy, I just came from a life where we had full cisterns but were running low on iron.

So I used the last of our iron on chisels, and used the engine as a mining pick. I died of old age before I had a chance to return the engine to the well, but being able to quickly convert the engine into a pick helped us out a lot.

Removing the stanchion kit to make a deep iron mine isn't as necessary, since making a new one for the iron mine is MUCH easier than making a new engine for a diesel pick.

It sounds a lot like you're looking to impose your will on the entirety of the player base without their input though.
Probably take up game development if that's what you're looking for.

The shade here is real.
