The only feature I wish was implemented, is breast milk drying up once you are no longer fertile. I think you should be able to have some sort of timer to at least feed your last baby. Once that baby is old enough, then you can become officially dry.

Once a woman has a valid birth, as a general, the more she feeds, the more she will make. She can even produce after menopause. A woman doesn't need working uterus and ovaries  to breastfeed, all she needs are functioning breasts and pituitary glands.

So I don't think being fertile should go hand in hand with being able to feed your babies as a female in the game.

Well yes I could continue to make more bowls ect, but I think you aren't getting what I am saying about exactly how many Dry Bean Plants we are talking about here.... I might fare to say there was enough to fill a good 30 or more bowls. I didn't count though.

Thank you Pein, that might be what I try next time. I was able to clean about 25-30 bowls worth of seeded carrots, but I was at a lost on how to clean up all the dried beans. burritos might be the way to go.

yes, I know this. What I am saying is there would never be enough clay bowls to deal with this amount of beans.

I was just in a town where there were tiles and tiles of bean plants and pods everywhere.  I tried to take a screenshot, but couldn't. Not that I could fit it all on the screen to begin with.

Is there a way to clear that up (like flowering carrots) or is the town stuck with them? New found way to grief I guess.

I think initially if might be an unproductive feature, but the fade would wear of soon enough.

#6 Re: Main Forum » Idea: one kill per life? » 2019-12-02 14:02:44

Let me tell you about a life I lived last night. A bear was in town when I was born. People killed it, but a lot of people died. There were a lot of newer people in town and no bear caves near by,  so I suspected it was lead to the town. Then a man who told a new player to take all the pads and toss them all over the ground. The new player, just past the baby stage, kept yelling "you told me too" but the guy chased her down and insisted that she was grieving and shot her anyway.  Then another bear came. but this time the bow and all the arrows were gone, and the pads, which were cleaned after being dirtied, were gone as well. We lead bear out of town... but another one came, then I died of old age.

What about something similar to the tool skill. Higher skill points, more kills you are allowed. Another thought. Maybe some positive reinforcement like a "kudos" where you can give another player a thumbs up for doing a good job. Opposite of the curse, you spawn closer to people you have given "kudos" too... so something similar to that. I don't know. Just thinking out loud.

I don't like the original too much either. I found it made things harder to find on the floor, IDK, just something about it.

#8 Re: Main Forum » Is Getting Shook as a Baby Disorienting for New Players? » 2019-11-21 21:19:27

I have never seen 'baby shaking' in game, but I haven't been playing long... and  we already had some polite banter on the breastfeeding topic on Twisted stream this morning.

but it got me thinking. Once again, as a rl bfing mom... babywearing would be helpful. Women, back in the day, didn't sit around the fire feeding babies, like in game. They strapped those sucker on their back/fronts and helped around the farm. Babywearing has been practiced for centuries, and having a way to babywear in game might not be practical for a lot of situations, but it could help in some cases.

Just thinking out loud.

Don't forget. You are also playing around with other very new players. A huge influx of new players from the steam sale

You have to just be patient and find the right teachers/town/mom.

Today I was in 2 towns. First I was born a mother who seemed new, and was in a down with people fighting with each other. I took an arrow to the chest, while working the farm, by twin griefers and so did many others.
Second life I was born to a mother who seemed new. I male character fed and raised me. I then went on to teach a handful of new players how to make pies, the different kinds of pies there are, and more.

If is stressful at first, but then it will get easier, and soon you can also become the teacher of others... a type of player we very much need and want in the game.

I'm am just finding the irony that I was itching to buy it for so long and when finally decided to treat myself .... I'm laughing. It's been one of those years. smile
