Jason,

I also want to say thank you for all the hard work!!!!!

I think the game is great and while content is still low I greatly enjoy trying to build a village up from scratch and with the new items being added weekly, it makes it more interesting if the village dies off and you have to start over. I also really enjoyed the apocalypse and hope there will be a way to accomplish this in the future, either automatically or by player choice. Perhaps this could be done with a natural disaster or world event such as the ice age or a world flood. For now, starting in the wilderness will work. Thanks again for all your hard work and just keep working on your vision. The game is amazing and your dedication is awesome! The people who complain about the changes you make are generally the griefers. Let them go back to Call of Duty, we will prosper without them!

Currently I have explored a lot of this game and have yet to discover any form or destroying old structures such as walls and kilns. As this does not seem to be a feature could we get structure decay in the game? I notice every time I play that there are random kilns and ovens all over the place that players built quick to make tools and then just left. This is not only an eyesore but also makes trying to find a clean spot to build things much harder. Or if you build a kiln and then want to move it inside a building, this would also help! I would love a sledgehammer or even the ability to bash something several times with a rock and destroy it but if that is not an option, perhaps a decay system where if a player does not maintain the structure/kiln/oven/etc.... it would decay and disappear after some time. This decay does not need to happen fast, but it does need to happen.

This is not a bad idea. Also could be applied to crates and carts, as things like the mallet currently can be hard to locate in containers with other things.

#6 Re: Main Forum » Thoughts on new March 8th, 2018 update » 2018-03-09 18:46:24

Well if he truly feels it was tweaked incorrectly with the update then I fully support him changing it. My only hope is that he does not change it because people whined about it being too hard or whatnot. I understand more players means more money however those players are just toxic and really need not be part of our blossoming civilization. We need people not afraid to really dig in and advance as a whole. I guarantee most of the people whining about it being too hard are the same people that spawn in, rip out and eat all the carrots for fun and troll people as they starve because they think it is funny.

It is part of life. Being mauled and eaten was a constant threat for the first people on the planet as they learned how to survive and thrive. They can be killed, or you can run. But don't forget, your in their home, and they are hungry too!

While I have not had a chance yet to try out the new update, from what I have read and with all the whining people are doing on the forums it seems like the update will be great! I love this game and have been looking for a game like this for a long time. I think that anything which makes the game more in depth and makes players really work to survive is amazing. This game should not be easy, that is what is great about it. I hope he does not decide to dumb it down for people. Let them whine and leave if they find the game too hard to survive in. It makes for a much better, less toxic community of players really trying to survive together. This is the point of the game exactly and I cannot wait to learn how to survive after this update!

#9 Re: Fixed Bugs » Died of old age but still spawned in a random (?) location » 2018-03-02 08:28:01

Jason, just FYI I just tested this out myself and you do indeed respawn to a random location after a clean old age death. I spawned in as an Eve and immediately ran West for about 5 minutes so I was away from everyone. I then setup a home marker and stayed alive and fully fed near that marker till I dies at age 60 of Old Age. When I respawned immediately after I was born to a mother in an established village and not anywhere near my death/home site. I also did not close the game client between lives.

I am actually a game server provider and have already thought about this. If anyone would be interested in renting a private server I could probably help with that.

Of course, don't neglect the official servers. We still need people to help colonize the new world. smile

I do not think a friend system in this game should be added. The entire premise of the game would become defeated by being able to join with a friend or group of friends. It would allow players to just keep spawning over and over at the same location and just pick right back up where they left off. When your born you don't know who your mother is or where you are. That is part of the greatness of the game, having to really learn. As the world progresses perhaps towns and roads will develop and you can travel to your friends but I do not feel there should be a friend spawn system in the game. It would just make things too easy.

Plus, a village of just friends would alienate other players, killing off randoms so they could just keep spawning together. This would also cause an unfair advantage for those players.

My two cents.... smile

Ya create a garbage pit and it says it turns into nothing....

Now if you figure out HOW to make said pit, let me know. smile

#13 Re: Main Forum » Question » 2018-03-02 00:41:12

Jason I just want to say, Steam or not, this is a pretty amazing game and I thank you for your hard work and dedication to making it. I think your audience not on Steam is exactly the kind of players this type of game needs. I have had several good full lives so far with other people that genuinely seem to want to help. Just keep up the good work!

#14 Re: Main Forum » Okay this is getting ridiculous. » 2018-03-02 00:34:48

I disagree that it is wrong in any way. While I have died MANY MANY MANY times the last couple days, I have also learned a whole lot about how to survive. The game is not made to be easy or basic and I feel it accurately portrays exactly what it intends to. I for one, even through many deaths, am having a blast learning and slowly building up. How do you think the first humans on the planet lived.... just like this.
