I was your daughter Pumpkin. It did seem a bit odd since food isn't really as bad as it used to be. A few berries out of a big field of bushes that are regularly being tended to, plus other food sources like the pie station just above it, really isn't going to do much damage. Especially since by the time I died me and my daughter were continuing the road which is clearly going to lead to a second village.

New player here, haven't heard of this tip. Can you explain more? Can a skewer be used just like a hoe?

They can but obviously have considerably fewer uses. But good in a pinch.

But what about those totally legit documents I could buy from an obviously legit business? How am I going to buy a Canadian drivers license now?

#4 Re: Main Forum » Had my first twins... » 2018-07-14 16:38:25

I just had my first two. They both lived into adulthood and stood around doing nothing. I even asked them if they could both wetnurse while I went on clay runs, came back to dead babies and they'd ran off. Never again.

#5 Re: Main Forum » Gonnella family line - I lost a horse S E (sorry) » 2018-07-12 19:25:04

I guess this would explain the sheer amount of steel ingots in the forge area. There's enough there to last until all three families there die out.

#6 Re: Main Forum » Glitching Game » 2018-07-12 18:17:05

I had this a couple of times yesterday. Also had an odd one as a kid where someone seemed to accidently pick me up and then I vanished. Screen wouldn't move when I was trying to walk away and I couldn't see what I was typing on screen but everyone else could. Ended up by starving.

#7 Re: Main Forum » 15 servers and all of them have pvp enabled? » 2018-07-10 19:23:42

So on the PvE server how would we stop someone from stealing all the food, hiding all the tools, breaking down the forge, kidnapping babies etc? Ask them to stop?

Killing was put in for a reason.

#8 Re: Main Forum » you suck paul » 2018-07-09 19:46:45

That's what I said as soon as I saw him and his "dad" talking about how he always protects killers. The guy he killed cursed him earlier on. A few people did but his was the only one that stuck. I was Alexander, so between making pies and doing runs for firewood and mutton I was following him around when he had his bow incase he got you.

#9 Re: Main Forum » you suck paul » 2018-07-09 19:29:18

Well, he may have sucked but at least he made it sort of a bit more interesting. Rosemary did a good job of avoiding him and staying busy.

#10 Re: Main Forum » Confessions of a carrot plebe » 2018-06-03 15:00:16

Since the new update I've not seen anyone making them, but before a mix of rabbit and carrot (put in a bowl and mashed together) was a better choice for pie than just rabbit. But mutton seems to be the best if there's plenty around.

For the smithing it's usually best to ask but you can't go wrong with axes since most people tend to take them out, cut the trees and just leave them there. Hoes are also a good choice to have duplicates of since if the only one around breaks it can kind of cripple a farm.

Another good choice if you're feeling like you're not being productive is gathering branches in the early stages or in the later stages if you have an axe, firewood. It means that if there's plenty of people smithing, baking or making popcorn there's always a decent supply of firewood and kindling to keep the fires and ovens/forges going.

#11 Re: Main Forum » If your a new player, DO NOT LISTEN TO THE FORUMS. » 2018-05-30 20:56:33

I think in the time I've been playing I've only been murdered once and it was a total accident. My grandmother was putting down a bow right as I stepped onto that tile.

Definitely stepped on rattlesnakes more times than I can remember.

I haven't seen too much of it. We'll know it's a problem when people start "rawr xD"ing all over the place.

I've made that mistake. I told a daughter I'd teach her baking after she'd spent some time on the farm until her food meter was big enough. Went and got her to follow me to the oven and before I even explained about threshing wheat she dropped dead.

#14 Re: Main Forum » Get revenge! » 2018-05-28 17:39:45

If you take on a griefing attitude nobody will bother to teach you.

The best thing you should do when you're old enough is go to the farm and ask "seed?", someone there will point out which ones you shouldn't pick from if there isn't already someone saying "X location seed" when new kids turn up at the farm. From there just watch what other people do and if someone asks you to do something you don't know how to just ask if they can teach you. There's usually always at least one old man around willing to teach kids how to make pies.

To my mother Gemma Otting and my son Robert.

With the time I had left after Robert starved going to get iron for our graves I took his place, made a hammer and shovel and buried you both with gravestones.

Maybe one day we'll find it again.

You're really just trying to justify being a dick and then telling people to have a civil, intellectual, debate about you being a dick. Your reasoning on the last thread was that "spooky discord people" told you to do it so you probably don't get to take any moral high ground on that one.

And West: That's either a crazy coincidence or a flaw in the spawning system

It's fun for him because he's a dick, just look at his thread on it.

#18 Re: Main Forum » How do i get the files » 2018-05-18 15:49:46

When you download the files from your email that includes your key and download link you should have a folder eventually called OneLife_v(numbers).

In that you run the game with OneLife.exe and don't remove that from the folder otherwise it won't run.

Btw I would love to see that video

It's a shame this happened before the family trees update, would have been cool to see how far down your line had actually went.

#20 Re: Main Forum » The West Family » 2018-05-10 16:41:39

Ah yeah that'd be fine, just send it across when you can.

It's a shame that place is probably long gone by now unless someone has managed to randomly run into it.

Ah yeah, I remember seeing the naming. I was pretty proud. Still the most memorable playthrough I've had to date. I've also been your mother at some point, you'd asked me if I used the forums and after that I decided to sign up.

Would love to see the playthrough.

That one is definitely the biggest one doing it. If I'm born into a big town the first thing I do as soon as I'm old enough is go and help the carrot farm. It doesn't matter how many times you stand next to a row saying "seed" someone always comes and picks it and then then next one you designate as seeds causing the whole food system to collapse.

Hard to tell if it's griefing or just stupidity.

If you spend a whole 5 minutes telling people it's the seed row, then you're the griefer - not them. Do something productive, like trap rabbits or farm berries.

I'm talking about big ones, where I'm constantly picking and having to go back and forth for water because there's only a small number of people working on it. I wouldn't say briefly between trips to ponds and wells walking next to a row saying "seed" is griefing.

I'd really like to know how things turned out here after I died.

I was born Adam West and did the regular stuff, tended to the farm, helped make pies. Just general stuff to help keep the place going so others could work on the bell tower.

My brother Jesus decided to make himself a bow and several arrows and started murdering people, my mother tried to stop him but I'm not sure how she died since she was holding a bow when she went after him.

In the end there was only me and my sister Maddy, we both ran east but got separated. I decided to dedicate what was left of my life to killing him since I couldn't have children so I got to making a bow to go with the arrow I stole from him on my way out.

I went back to the town, all the carrots had been picked and all the rows were hardened and he was standing around with his bow. I was able to get a shot at him and killed him.

Luckily right after that my sister came back and started having kids so we could rebuild the place and I hid away the bow so it couldn't happen again. We even had the luck of some no relation kids coming into town from the west. I even got to die of old age.

I hope that place is able to thrive, it was a nice town.
