I was a boy born from a mom that ran away from her village. She told me when I was young that her village was controlled by someone who killed a new born boys and it would not be possible for us to return there if I was to live.

We decided to settle in a little corner and start our own little village. But soon one of the person from her former village came and started to shout profanity that all boys need to die and that I should die. We tried to ignore this person since they did not have a weapon. But while we were already trying hard to build our little place and survive, these people stole our ropes and now knew where we lived.

Afraid that they would come back to kill us, we decided to act first. We made two bows with what we had left and 3 arrows. The end of this murderous village was about to come. We grabbed our bows and I followed my mom to her place of birth.

When we arrived, we first killed the executioner that was carrying the knife. We then made quick work of anyone of age 15+ that was a threat to our life. It was the first time I killed people in this game. But this village killed so many boys that I couldn't let them continue on this terrible path. They had to die.

Thank you mom for protecting me.

All the props to you. Down to dictators in general. Man what a satisfying story.

That was such a great run... making my mom's death as sad as possible, flirting with my brother... ah, memories.

I'll always remember you fondly, mom.

Sounds like you're getting a taste of your own medicine, huh? As the primordial Eve, you just birthed 14,000 new babies, and now they're all 'F'-ing you. XD

I really hope to see changes to this update. It just erased all the meaning from the game. Now if i play i just grief a city from valuables (needle XD, tools, cart) and roam in to the wild make clothes and then be like "what now". Live to 60 and die. Feels like there is nothing to achieve, or it doesnt have any meaning cause it will decay before you even die. I dont usually grieff or murder but this update wakened a devil in me.

I'm going "Full Retard". If you see a dude with a bow and arrow....... RUN!!!!!

specially if he's nekkid

I was born to an Eve. I was a boy.
She picked me up and started searching for food.
I was happy she didn't let me die.
After a while a bell rang.
My mother asked - "You heard that?"
"Yes" - I replied.
Then my mother started running East. Always East.
We crossed deserts and ice, dodged bears and wolfs.
We walked for many moons. I had grown along the way, and my mother had grey hair.
When we finally arrive to our destination, there is a person to receive us with pies and clothes.
We give our baskets with cacti fruit. It was all we had.
We started to live in the city then. I helped in the farm and my mother took to being a baker.
When I became an adult I met a girl with no relation. We started talking and decide to get married.
It was great. We went a little bit North and started building a small house (It was a wooden floor, but it was a house to us).
We start gathering food while I helping around the farm and my old mother baking pies.
Soon the babies started popping. We had one girl and one boy. I built a fire to keep the babies warm.
We named the girl after my mother and the boy after me.
One day I decide to leave the farm and become a wolf hunter to get my son and daughter some cool hats.
The farmer agreed, since we had carrots and pies to spare.
I started packing a cart when my wife came to me and told me we couldn't be together any more.

"WHY?" - I asked
"I just don't feel it any more"

Then I died.
A connection had been lost.

Just like real life. I was very happy to be on a server with just 3 people. It was first only me on the bare land, and right after a child popped. I called him Nox. We traveled north and found us a very nice town. I had a prodigy 2nd daughter, named Jane. We had it good there. We found us clothes and there were already pies in there to last us a lifetime. Jane made a cart and a deep well, several steel tools and even got us a horse and hitched it to a fence. When I got too old I told my children I didn't wanted them to see me die, so I tried to run away and they both went behind me with food telling me I would only die of old age and that they would not leave me to die alone out in the woods like some savage. They made me cry irl. I popped out of Jane right after. It was a miracle. We played together for some good 4 hours. We got a very special bond going. And we would always be mom, Nox and Jane. Best run ever.

I was one of the people that suggested decay, but I honestly never imagined it would be implemented this way. It's just so tedious, having to replace baskets all the time (I'm not mentioning tools solely because I never had the chance to use them since the update; for 2-3 hours now I've been spawning to Eves, or as an Eve, never having the chance to make any steel stuff because survival). I second the suggestion for slower decay and more uses per item, and definitely, *definitely* the one about repairing stuff. I don't know how one could implement a decay system without a repair system to complement it, and a way to dispose of broken stuff; it's a bad idea all around. And they should be repairable with fewer materials than they took to create; a baskets with only one reed/straw bundle, for example.

And there's a difference between a hard game, and a tedious, unplayable one. Unfortunately, I feel like OHOL is rapidly becoming the latter. And I say that as a person that generally enjoys more challenging games.
