Pretty sure they were just pointing out that everyone knows the basic concept of temperature management. They weren't saying it's bad or useless.
You do know anyone is allowed to play with them on discord right..?
I don't get how they are being elitist if they let everyone join as long as they help out and follow the rules. They even offer to teach stuff to other players who choose to participate in the challenge.
"Hi I refuse to play the game how it is intended to be played and somehow it makes me mad"
I was Billy the old lady from Generation 9!
Hi, I was Burak, the only daughter of Hope! I was also the old lady that got mad at you guys for killing Tamara haha. It was a pretty good life.
Sadly it seems the lineage died out 6 or 7 generations after me...
Anyone still living in Kiwiville (sign with Kiwivil on it lol)
I was Bob Connor, wearer of the wolf crown for one lifetime. I gave the crown to Rose, because she was nice and very helpful.
We were going through tough times, all starving. Did you guys make it? And if you did, I'm curious to know if you ever managed to finish that key and lock for the sign. If you did, then please know that you are fancy as fuck.
Hope to see some replies from Kiwivillians
In this game you can type more and more letters as you grow. A child can't speak yet, so it only says one letter at a time. Unless you've got another bug going on, you'll see that as you grow older you get more room to type.
Hope this helped!
I don't know if we were the same West family, but it wouldn't be surprising.
I was Rain West, mother of Tempest, Thunder, Bliss (blizzard), Storm, Windsor (wind) and Snow!
We had a farm going and lots of wells made with the rocks found in the desert. Everyone was working very hard and my brother and a cousin forged a knife. We were all proud of it.
Eventually however we started running very low on food and were nearing starvation. As an elderly woman, I decided to die to save some ressources for my kids (and grandkids at this point, hi Biel!)
I told everyone they should move and find a new place to setup as they were almost done making some carts. While I am writing this, the West family is either extinct or moving to a better place. Or maybe they survived.

I'm still kind of a noob so I'll let the others answer your questions concerning the game.
So the more mistakes you make, the harder it gets to fix them? Won't it just snowball into a catastrophe if baby spawning chooses better mothers and kills off the lineages of bad ones?
Hush Dishehs.
This is pretty sad, and I feel for you, my dreams have been taken away from me too at times. I really hope you can get through that fear and depression of losing your family. You don't have to keep living alone just to shield yourself from your emotions.
But then again, why should you receive a penalty for something that is allowed by the game? Shouldn't it be fixed, rather than just blaming the player?
Yes, let's separate the good from the bad and erase all randomness as to how your next life is going to go. I don't think this will upset people.
I would love it if there were diseases. Then again... griefers.
as the community gets bigger, this will become even more relevant, and i think that enforcing at least a very basic set of rules and boundaries would be in the best interest of it's growth-- asking people to refrain from use of hate speech, slurring, or even posting graphic imagery isn't denying anyone their rights, it's just keeping the environment hospitable and accessible to everyone.
Exactly. There is no way the community will ever grow well if it is littered with toxic comments and questionable behaviors. Everyone has to make compromises to evolve with others. If everyone just says whatever they want and throws hate and violence at anyone they dislike, then cooperation and communication effectively becomes impossible. And walking away isn't a good option, for it doesn't solve anything. It simply ostracizes people more, it makes them feel unwanted, unsafe, attacked with no way of retaliating since the offender can apparently say whatever they want.

Game is multiplayer, you can kill other players...
That MAKES it pvp doesn't matter what he wants.
I meant PvP as in, you can fight, recover, duel each other, all that. It's not player versus player. It's player kills player. It's not a constant system of fighting, it's a one time event.

If you look at the video you can see the worship site of the One True Jason, is that what you speak of?
Lol yeah. It's actually pretty nice to see that place without being there. Cool vid.
Ah, is that why the monolith by the big city of server 1 is surrounded by a bunch of bones?
Let's not diverge into sexist speech if possible. We're here to find advantage for both males and females. It's about finding a balance.
Introducing cursing, religion, magic as a feature in the game would be weird.
We're not always going to be stuck at prehistoric levels of society, and the way the evolution of this game seems to be going, we're going to get robots, new tech, etc. Jason is building a world where occultism definitely won't fit in.
we had a noobcamp with decaying items, possibly griefed, cause the sheeps were out, or made of decayed items
my mom and sis was lazy to water farms, i could survive, my bro went to scout, found a village with berry and water, also decayed
had 3 daughters, and some more when i holding one, didnt even had time to name my daughter
I was Water
i seen the steel file went back to forge
she stabbed me, after i raised that bitch up and had the knife, so fricking stupid idiots in this game, they stab you cause they can
fck you
pein this topic is to contact your loved ones, not to complain everytime you die
Jason has stated the game won't include a combat system because he doesn't want it to become pvp.
When you're born to a mother in OHOL, they are taking care of you because they are assuming you will contribute to the town in some way. People farm and feed you because they're under the same assumption. There's this kind of unspoken social contract that you're entering into. This is why I don't understand why people brag about destroying villages and killing people. Yeah, great, you've subverted people's expectations of you, but it's not some insane feat.
It's like if I walk into a Starbucks, and a guy just takes a massive steaming shit in the middle of the floor, looks me straight in the eyes, and asks me to acknowledge his accomplishment. Yes, I see you there, squatting next the the counter with your wiener dangling and some backsplash on your clothes because you're probably not getting enough fiber in your diet. But, am I impressed? Scared? I don't know. I mean, we're all here for some coffee and you're just ruining it by "living your life" and wafting your fecal stink all over the place. It's not something any of us are really expecting, and no one is really sure why you're so proud of yourself, but...okay?
This is the best comparison I've ever seen for murderers in this game. Amen. Thanks for that.
Dear Lakme,
You were unwanted by your mother but I chose to help you. I got attached to you, caring for you by the fire. Once you left however, I never saw you again.
I looked for you everywhere in the big city, but alas no blondie running around like a wildcat. I even made you a wolf hat, but I never got the chance to gift it to you.
I spent the rest of my life crying out for your name, and singing a little song about my sorrow.
My dear Lakme so young and free
My dear Lakme, but where is she
Life comes and goes always back to stone
Life comes and goes but why am I alone
In the end, I was stabbed in the heart, wounded by a crown wearing angel. Perhaps he just wanted to free me from my suffering, so that I could find you once more in another life...
That's edgy dude.
