Update; Green Revolution

f93For1.png

New this week:  diesel-powered plows and irrigation systems.

Through these industrial farming techniques, you can use water, soil, and iron much more efficiently.

The third-party tech tree (OneTech) can now be reached from a button on the Login screen.

Re: Update; Green Revolution

Ohh, Looks promising!

I do worry players will be hesitant to use this stuff due to the scarcity of kerosene. Depends how powerful this is, Will have to see in-game. Looks like multiple engines are needed, Seems like more Kero usage then just pumping and manual farming.

Anyway looks like it'll let us water and till an entire row at once. Not sure the limits just yet, How much can you plow/water at once?

I know some people had been asking for this update since 2018

Re: Update; Green Revolution

Originally thought this stuff was weak but my god playing around with it on my test server was absolutely nasty.

I think this falls into the situation planes/cars do where in the right hands this kind of stuff is absolutely OP but will just get griefed by assholes unless protected heavily. 10/10 really cool tech update.

Re: Update; Green Revolution

Jason, I would appreciate rubber tires on the plow.  In real life something as heavy as a tractor pulling a plow would heavy.  Wooden wheels would just disintegrate with use. Or if not rubber tires, maybe metal wheels? I come from a farming state, and even our Amish use durable equipment, no wood to plow.  anyway, as they are, they should breakdown and need repairing at the very least if in fact you plan to keep wooden wheels.

Controversial opinion: oil rigs should never deplete.

The game would be balanced with infinite oil.
