I just played a 55 min life, At first, i was doing nothing and was gonna consider leaving, but then, I travelled to brown for trade, and I convinced them to make me their leader, so I tried to take over whites, and it eventually happened, anyways, had no babies but united the liter and fucito into the peoples of litito, it was kinda boring but I helped bring whites and browns closer together
edit: so much drama omg

Did you have a successor. Issue with these things as they tend to fall througn after a generation or two.

So it was you. You leaving made it impossible for us to kill a griefer. Thanks for that.
Don't be irresponsible with leadership.
I'm Slinky and I hate it here.

How do these people become leader? XD

It's much better for each lineage to have the same colored leader so they can communicate properly and can make sure someone at home can deal with exiling trouble makers.
The worst thing you can do is give leadership to goof balls or "unite" families under one leader as you can't be in two places at once.

I wonder why I didn't do this with two families that were closer, like the last two gingers and brown families who even babies could travel too *sigh* we need more closer families united, then it MAY work

Implying having to run back and forth constantly to settle issues would work.

He’s right you are a goof ass. One town would never have a leader and would always be susceptible to greifing and the towns people wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. Then we have Th e issue that if some genocidal maniac becomes leader he can kill two families instead of one. You are a goof ass.

It could work if they had one overall leader, and then some local leaders
being that everyone in one village, would follow the local leader and that local leader would follow the overall leader, then it could work, as he local leader will be what a leader is now, while the overall leader would be the one to keep the local leaders in check
and to prevent the overall leader for become to corrupt we would need a leader above the overall leader, the Jason
but all of this would take a lot of coordination and trust that the overall leader isn't a tyrant, so it can only work on paper

that's what I did, there was two leaders under me, but when they die it's only a normal leader under them so they'd have to pick leaders of every family everytime one died

That’s literally NOT how it works. First off they’re would only be one leader under you if you inherited and also when they die their leadership isn’t inherited it goes to YOU since they followed YOU. So your handicapping one villages ability to fight greifers while the other one can’t even understand you. And according to slinky this did happen and they weren’t able to fight off a greifer cause they’re leader screwed them over.

you are a crazy unconscious! How could you play in a different way than what is established in the game ???
You tried to have fun using a different game strategy than the norm !!! sacrilege!!
You have completely broken the OHOL leadership rules and must be punished for it ...
the next one who tries to play in a different way must go to DonkeyTown !!!
As punishment I condemn you to grow carrots for 60 minutes!
So you will learn not to have different ideas of fun at OHOL

When it's absolutely impossible to kill a griefer without them being exiled first it is a huge problem when your leader isn't there. We DID get a griefer right after they left and they killed all the sheep and released a boar. Literally nothing we could do. http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … id=6330293 This was them.
Blame Jason for the poor variety of play, not the community. Leaders have a responsibility to their town and have to stay in it.
I'm not putting Ruby on a stake. They obviously didn't mean harm by it they were just ignorant. Hopefully they learned from this and won't take the role of leader as a meme from now on.

I'm sorry but I don't think the same:
- We cannot force another player to play as we want, each player has fun in different ways
- Different ways to have fun = different stories to live (don't destroy that)
- If the posse, or exile system is broken, it should not be a reason to require another player to play as she wants (focus on the main problem)
- When a player cannot defend himself, or needs a complex series of requirements to be able to defend himself ... feel frustrated (just what is happening to you) and you are blaming someone else for your fraud
- the griefers and assassins will continue in the game, this will not solve it by playing in a certain way
- Jason is not demanding to play in a certain way, in this case it is you (part of this community that requires this player to play in a predetermined way)

If you want to play a certain way don't be the leader then. Giving up leader is as easy as typing 3 words.

he was playing to be a different leader, he had a purpose and he was having fun just like you, let him play as he likes!
If a murderer killed his people because the posse / hierarchies system is a joke, it is not a problem of TheRubyCart
focus on the root of the problem

did he at least live according to the 10 commandments of efficiency?
If not condemning to grow carrots would be a too mild punishment.
He must be condemned to farm berries!
And yes the leader system has still some problems...
