Some Bugs Aren't Getting Reported

In a special server discord that I'm part of, someone said that they knew about some bugs, but "...  but at the same time i don't want to slow down the progress lmao".

I doubt that who said this is the only person who has thought this way.

After all, if you know about a bug, but want more interesting content than bug fixes, and the game designer prefers to fix boring bugs before adding more interesting content, why would one report a bug?

True enough.

That said, that wasn't one of the bugs I had in mind or get mentioned by the other person who made that comment.

But again, you're correct in that such is widely known, but not reported.

I was wondering why you created this post. So I read it again : I missed the personal attack on Jason the first time, which is the whole point of your post : the remain is only rhetorical decoration. But well, you have so bad taste, I feel sorry for you.

The point of this post is that some bugs aren't getting reported, because there's a concern that if some bugs get reported, progress otherwise will get delayed.

Believing such isn't unreasonable, because Jason said this:

jasonrohrer wrote:

137 more issues to fix:

https://github.com/jasonrohrer/OneLifeData7/issues

I imagine this will take about a month to finish.

Then content.

https://onehouronelife.com/forums/viewt … 936#p88936

Malachite not stacking was a bug.  But, it's fairly clear that it's not as interesting as new technology in the game or otherwise new content.  Malachite stacking being less interesting than new content/new objects in the game, and I do NOT mean a restriction on old content, is just an example.  If you look through the list of bugs fixed, you can find other examples of what got fixed isn't as interesting as new content.

Aww! What a shame! I quite enjoyed being able to dismantle the hatchet when travelling. Making a fire and providing kindling for had never been more convenient on the road. Shame!

Got who?

As I said before, the hatchet trick wasn't what I had in mind, and the other comments were jokes about them not wanting it fixed.

Also, who the hell knows how many bugs haven't gotten reported since it's got communicated that bugfixes matter more than content to the sole game designer.  Again, if a person wanted more content over bugfixes, and knew about such a bug, why would that person report a bug?

Spoonwood what wood are you? Are you a mahogany, or an alder?

I don't have a clue what type of wood in "spoonwood" referred to when the name got coined.

Sourwood lol

According to Wikipedia:

Wikipedia wrote:

[sourwood] is native to eastern North America, from southern Pennsylvania south to northwest Florida and west to southern Illinois; it is most common in the lower chain of the Appalachian Mountains.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxydendrum

I don't see a reason to believe that North American trees were imported to Europe to make wooden spoons.  Mahogany also seems unlikely to me.  Alder trees don't seem native to the area where the name got coined.

So, now having thought a little and looked up some relevant information, I don't think it was any of the above types of wood.

Now I am curious - what is the origin of your name?   How did you become a spoon of wood?

Yes, I do.   It was changed to its current form when my great great great grandfather moved to this country.   Prior to that, it was based on the primary trade of a distant ancestor.

My current forum handle is based on an in-joke between friends and the need to find a unique name that no one else was using when making a nickname for a forum many years ago.

Oh interesting! I'm from the northeast US and grew up calling this mountain laurel. Hi Spoonwood, we're childhood friends.

Sorry 'bout the bumps..
