Why do we still have race restrictions in the game, literally no one likes them and the whole purpose which was “trade” never has and never will happen. Even in the village it’s not trade, it’s literally a melting pot to survive no trade just people donating resources to keep the village alive. Please change this to make other races able to go in ALL biomes just it’s way harder for them. Maybe some gear they can acquire from other races that will make it viable for them to enter a hostile environment.

I had an idea a while ago about having a chance for male babies to be another race. This would allow for unified single-family towns with the payoff being that rubber and oil production is spottier.
Alternatively theirs a case for marrying members of other families to get access to mixed babies. For a few generations, you will get a sort of hybrid family. Male babies would be from the male's race and vise versa, both would have an understanding of the other language. Marriage would require peace and a male and female of similar age.
You could even have some different models for hybrid people.

Just removing racial restrictions would make something like tool slots more palatable because then it's your fault for not planning.
As I've said everywhere racial specialization should be about buffing certain things rather than nerfing. It feels ass to travel around 10+ minutes to find no one and decide whether to tank your meme score by walking around with children or just settling down which then makes it even harder to find people.
Travel in the game right now is terrible especially because Eves and families are spread from the apocalypse. If we're going to have to keep needing people apocalypse needs to restart the whole server instead of letting people live. This would at least put the Eves nearby instead of the mess we have right now.

We need more travelling/orientation tech, bell towers are too advanced (takes too much time) and only available to gingers and waystones+maps are only useful if you actually are able to find a place not to find the place itself.
Better ways to find each other
Could have it so smoke signals/bonfires work as neolithic bell towers but only gives a signal while lit. Attracts people early but also a constant wood drain
But tbh I feel like it's not really needed as people eventually get build a bell tower the games pretty over once they do. Literally towns with them everywhere a few days later.

I don't like bell towers and their magic power to show dirrection even from thousands of metters. I liked it more when families didn't trust each other and were making walls to protect their goods. It was interesting.

Yeah, that would make more sense. And also their range shouldn't be infinite but maybe up to 500 tiles.
It's not that I don't like race restrictions. I hate them :P

Just make each family (AND NOT RACE) have a randomly assigned tool so individuals get that extra skill. Tada, we've got specialists without absolutely robbing the game of half of its fun plus sending off questionable messages about ethnicities.
And am I the only one that thinks Jason should spend just about as much time working out spawn mechanics as he did the rift? This is seriously worth the work in many updates since it's so fundamental to the overall gameplay loop but specially early and post-late game. I still think giving us a massive rift-esque continent with bigger biomes and limited spawns solves half of these problems.
