At first I thought you were being sarcastic ... but you are right.   That really is a shitty update.

And I'm so excited!

Eeech, I'm not so sure about bucket stacking. I think this is literally going to go the same way as way stones and their griefing went. On paper, way stones looked to be useful but very quickly became a detriment to the game due to their blocking nature. Stacking buckets is going to lead to griefers being able to snatch up ALL THE BUCKETS and they get to put them in one space instead of a bunch of different spots.

There's just not currently anything that requires stacking empty buckets up besides space reasons which isn't terrible but the bucket griefing ability outweighs that imo.

Poop bucket seems okay but we almost always have poop in the pen and that poop can now just be littered all over the ground without busting the shovel (best part of the update.)

Still not big on tool slot stuff but I guess now you know who to harass in the event you need something sawed/drilled/etc.

Apocalypse change doesn't solve the issue imo because if the issue we're having is we were only hearing zero or at most one of the two rings I don't feel a third is going to help. ALSO, it feels really weird at the moment that the perfect apocalypse tower takes 24 hours vs a bell tower taking 25. I guess it's truly easier to destroy than build.

Stopping people from going to S1 unneeded is nice, and I'm not sure about the Eve changes.

8/10 update. Good, but maybe slightly flawed.

Re: The "Weekly-Update-Content-Guessing" Game

A poop bucket for every pen.

Also I dont worry too hard about the bucket griefing. "Oh no someone took all the buckets.. well its not like I cant go 100 tiles outside the town and get more rope than they tried to make disappear"

Re: The "Weekly-Update-Content-Guessing" Game

Now that we have stacking buckets, I'd like to see a domestic milkweed buff that reduces the tedium of mass producing rope.   I want to have so many empty buckets laying around that stacking them up makes real sense.

Re: The "Weekly-Update-Content-Guessing" Game

I was thinking the same thing. Plant a ton of milkweed then take a cart to gather butt logs. Turn them into stacks and stacks of buckets. Needs a hoe, mallet and saw in terms of tool slots. Maybe an axe too. Also unlocks farmer, carpenter and lumberjack professions. If you go outside of town you can even use wild soil and water to basically make tons of free buckets. I'll probably spend most of my next life just making dozens of buckets.

Re: The "Weekly-Update-Content-Guessing" Game

Only problem with the shit bucket is I'm pretty sure it costs a shovel use to add or remove poop from the bucket.   Unless Jason buffed the shovel, these buckets are going to eat through shovels like nobody's business.   It would triple the cost of shoveling shit.

Edit -  Never mind, I was wrong.   Jason removed the shovel breaking and shovel costs from bucket, so adding or removing the poop will not break the shovel.    I was worried for a minute there.

No more dung with iron bones and steel tendons, breaking shovels in a crushing fashion.

Re: The "Weekly-Update-Content-Guessing" Game

The poop bucket can be useful for the fact that poop won't decay when it's in the bucket. Also as a result of this change(poop scooping only using up shovel when put on compost), the goose/poop exploit can now be used without breaking shovels. Towns will be drowning in geese.

There's something wrong with bucket after update, can't use it on rubber tree anymore.

You sure you are using it on a newly slashed rubber tree and not a sealed rubber tree? Cause rubber trees have been one time use for a while now.

Really?   I didn't notice that change.    Poor rubber trees.

I guess you can just plant more trees when you run out.

Re: The "Weekly-Update-Content-Guessing" Game

I cut it myself, but you need to use bucket right away? It was sealed, maybe I was looking for bucket for too long?

EDIT
Yup, for too long, case closed.

Re: The "Weekly-Update-Content-Guessing" Game

Maybe it is a bit early to talk about next update already since the last one is only a couple of hours old, but man... I really hope we see some real content additions in the next one.

Last couple of updates were nice too but idk, they were more of the bugfixing, quality of life and rebalancing kind of updates. And sure, we got dump buckets but how about some items from the game trailer on steam, eh? Isn‘t it time to come up with this stuff too at some point? ...like maybe 93 updates after release?

If this was Blizzard, people would climb fences already. Have you heard about their newest Warcraft 3 Reforged shitstorm? Among other things, they were accused false marketing as they advertised the game with trailers that showed the game differently. They recently changed their ad site and exchanged trailers with real footage because of it. Isn‘t it similar to ohol‘s trailer in which people might also obtain the impression of promises which are not being fulfilled even after such a long time after release?

I think it is time for dem robots.
