The "Weekly-Update-Content-Guessing" Game

This is how it goes: Guess on what Jason is currently working on for the next weekly update. What do you think is its content? Win huge (imaginary) prizes if you're right!!

So the last update was about curved rails. Something you could've been able to see coming if you saw how active Jason was in the thread "Jason's Pattern update has accidentally made Curved Rails viable" by Wuatduhf. What do you think is next week's update about?

The actual first round officially starts now and is about the update for week 27th Jan - 2nd Feb 2020

My guess (or maybe better said my hope) is that some numbers will be changed for the leaderboard score calculation. Maybe a revamp even? Who knows! Not me! ... I'm just bored.

---------
@Jason: You could easily spoil this game. Feel free to do so or not to do so. Up to you. Maybe you restrict yourself to just saying warm or cold, idk. Also, don't feel pressured or critized or anything like that by anything in here. It's just for fun.

For real, c'mon we already had two updates dedicated for that recently. It's time for something new. Like cherry trees! Or job boards! Or cheesecakes!

Re: The "Weekly-Update-Content-Guessing" Game

i'm gonna take a wild guess that next week's update will not have anything to do with race restrictions. and that it absolutely won't have anything to do with making the game enjoyable to play. :)

Re: The "Weekly-Update-Content-Guessing" Game

Traffic signs for roads.

Children's crosswalk sign:  The only place children are allowed to cross a road.
Slow sign:  This slows the speed on a fast travel path to normal speed.
Stop sign:  This forces you to stop and not move for three seconds at any road intersection.
Rail Road sign:  This is required to build a tracks across the road.  All road traffic will automatically be stopped while a cart passes over it.
Falling Rocks sign:  Just because.

Re: The "Weekly-Update-Content-Guessing" Game

Another game mechanics update so jason can attempt to redesign certain features to try to guide a certain user experience only for the actual ensuing user experience to not be any different or do the complete opposite of what he wanted it to.

Some revamp to the war and kill mechanic, he wants more conflict.

yes but you become a caster what ever message was playing while you consumed the milkweed gets stuck in your head, forcing you to repeat it over and over again, you become a mindless milkweed drone

Re: The "Weekly-Update-Content-Guessing" Game

it must be something that is useless and must be extremely difficult to create

I think it will be a car horn for the car, the OHOL community has been asking for years

To create the car horn it will not be necessary to make any modification to the game engine (the game engine is sacred and should never be modified, under any circumstances!)
ahh, and the help of all the races of the game will be needed

Once created, to make it work, you must write /I have created a car horn and now it is sounding

If you do not write it correctly the car will explode and kill all those who are nearby
This of course can be used for griefers, so they can kill cities faster

New players should not have access to this privileged technology, they shouldn't have fun with Car Horn.
They are doomed to plant carrots and berries for months

there may also be error correction: for example the drawing of the dead boar has its legs up

sarcasm off

Bottles of human blood to promote trade.

In all honesty advanced medical tech would be pretty cool, maybe give people the chance to revive others from biological death, and then 3 minutes later is a clinical death?

Since we have glass bottles, now all we need a glass jars with copper lids!  Then we can carry human organs around!  Time to put the axe and knife to work!

Do you necessarily need copper lids to store and carry organs around? ...then I have been doing it wrong all time!

It isn't strictly necessary, but the copper lid really compliments the color of the formaldehyde solution, so I highly recommend it.

I grew up in a canning culture.  So I was thinking of the Ball or Kerr lids of my childhood.  But a search query or two in response to this corrected me.  The lids of my childhood were Zinc, not Copper.  And nowadays they are either Stainless Steel or plastic.

So no, don't use copper after all, unless you want to risk getting botulism from eating improperly canned organ meat!
