Instead of slash die..

Can player be in observer mode for 10 seconds, before he/she will be born? Like 'press enter to be born 10... 9..' etc.

It's been suggested as a 'pregnancy' feature. Give the kid 10-15 seconds of (limited) visibility before being born, so the mother gets some warning and the kid can decide if they want to /die before being born. Jason even drew up a pregnancy bump, but has yet to decide to make this a feature.

The pregnancy bump idea is great, but I think Jason hesitation is he likes the comedy of babies instantly popping out.

It's possible to still have this while having an "observe" mode by not letting the mother know a child is on its way. This would decrease the frustration of /die while still maintaining the comedy of instant babies from the mother's perspective.

Re: Instead of slash die..

I hate the lack of warning.  Having a baby pop out at my feet while I'm busy doing other things is annoying, not amusing.

Fair enough. big_smile

Nobody can force people to do what they don't want to, if you try you will get either runners or bones, that's why I'm against /die command.
