The Next Generation Of Camera.

In the silent era of film, movies used to be one frame every 5 seconds, if we have cameras, we need to invent these old movies jason!

Edit: I meant add movies, but a discussion about adding pictures in game is also good

Re: The Next Generation Of Camera.

I dont see the point of developing the film tech when you are not being able to see what you capture in-game, if i wanted to take a photo i would just use a screenshot rather than having to enter the website to view it. or in this case just use a gif like jason used to do with the updates.

I dont think the engine is capable of developing film technology on a way that is satisfying, the camera for me is very disapointing

Re: The Next Generation Of Camera.

Why can't we have photos in game? That would be so lovely and justify making a camera!

I'm not sure I understand your idea.  Can you clarify?

Re: The Next Generation Of Camera.

Using camera makes a photo item that can be picked up to view it.   Clicking on the photo displays the image in front of you.  Clicking again clears the image, so you can see your surroundings.   To see it again, you need to set the photo down and pick it up again, like reading a note.

Moving pictures could require a projector that displays on a white adobe wall or something.

Pretty sure he is suggesting that the pictures you get from the camera should be physically in the game-world rather than being on a website.

For the time being, I think we have enough content.

Re: The Next Generation Of Camera.

I'd also like to get an artist's easel in OHOL.  Make a wood frame - add a white sheet to make a blank canvas.   Get together a painter's palette using the milk paint buckets or dyes mixed with palm oil (oil paints).   Then you can become an artist and paint a fancy painting to hang on the walls in your family home.

So pretty!

Re: The Next Generation Of Camera.

I think cameras in OHOL should do the same thing they do in real life.

Capture the souls of primitive indigenous peoples.

Re: The Next Generation Of Camera.

cameras should print out the pictures. its dumb to keep them online
when you pick up a photo (piece o paper w photo print) it should show it in the middle of your screen in a tab, you can esc key to close it.
hecc, we could make photo albums. connect the young to the old. cmon, Jason.

Once a photo is taken the camera prints the photo and whoever picks it up can see the photo

Interesting.  That would be better than what we have currently.
