I'm Jotaro Eis, and this is my story.
I was born to a great lady named Lili Eis, who was trying to lead her children to a better life. Lady Luck wasn't kind to us, however, and neither was the wilderness. She only gave birth to boys, the five Eis Brothers, one of which died as a baby. The rest of us all stuck close to mom, feeding each other and carrying things for her, as we searched for salvation. Dio Eis, our little bro, didn't make it--his final words were 'Afk.'
We arrived in an abandoned city, where Lili reluctantly made the ultimate sacrifice to avoid slowing us down. She told us to follow a map she found, and go west--she, being too old at that point, stayed behind. That's when the next chapter in story of the Eis Bros. began. Polo, the resource gatherer and the oldest of the three, led Giorgos and myself onward. I found a horse and cart on the way out of the city, and rode alongside.
It was an exciting time for we three amigos. We ran and ran, eating pies along the way. Then, Polo took a wolf bite for us, but urged us to continue. We mourned for a while, but reluctantly continued on, for Polo and mom.
Giorgos and I traveled for many years, passing through dead town after dead town. We followed a line of springs for a while, with me scouting ahead on horseback from time to time. Finally, being low on pie, we stopped in a town inhabited only by the graves of the Amanda family, and I told my brother to stay and eat while I went off to find people--we were getting old, and I was afraid we wouldn't see each other again, but it was our last chance.
I followed the springs until I found a map lying in the forest, which led me, at long last, to an inhabited city. I arrived, went back and got Giorgos, and led him there. We made it... but things were a bit off there. Someone was dying, calling for pads. A lady came up and met us as we walked in, and told us boars were killing everybody off. There were vicious bears being held in captivity... we looked around, and found very few people left. Then right in front of us, a man stabbed one of the residents.
Giorgos and realized the truth--this was a cannibalistic bandit camp. He pulled out his trusty knife and prepared to go Rambo, but I implored him not to get involved, pointing out that we had come too far to die there. He agreed, and we decided to head back out into the wilderness to die together. "Civilized" life wasn't for us.
In the end, we found one more civilization to the north, where we were greeted by one of our cousins. We were dumbfounded to discover another Eis so far out to the west. As I told our story, Giorgos died of old age, happy that our wandering days were finally over. I told them the news of the killers to the south, which they knew something about--these were good people. I decided it was time to rest--I gave my cousin, whose name I can't remember, my beloved Santa hat, which I'd found in my travels, who said he'd wear it with honor, and I died peacefully.
Here's to you, mom & brothers. We will continue travelling together in the afterlife.
