Hi Jason!
I wanted to offer a suggestion,
With the edges of the rift no where in sight any longer, I think it might be a good idea to remove the feature that blocks twins, triplets and quads from cursing others.
In the rift, it was implemented so that potential griefers couldn't curse anyone into donkeytown on a whim, but with our boundless world I think that would be significantly more difficult to do.
I've also seen a lot of twins being a veteran player teaching a new player, or veteran players quadding to build towns... and these types of players have all the same need to curse as solo born babies.
Please consider removing this block so that people can play together and curse griefers as they see fit.
Thanks!

It's better to have good guys that can't curse instead of a band of four who can actually mess things up, don't you think ?

Twins can't be trusted. They shouldn't be allowed to curse like normal players.

I disagree. It is nearly impossible for griefers to grief with curses now. 2-4 together cant send you to donkey town, you just won't see them for a month. What's wrong with that?

Quads, triplets and twins are already OP. Two people working together can wreck an entire town with ease. Three or four people are nearly impossible to stop by any existing method.
Why do they deserve even more power?
No good would come from giving them the ability to curse their enemies.

Its not about giving anyone power, its about removing a rift-era limitation for no longer having a purpose in the boundless world.
I strongly believe your intense paranoia about twins cursing in the riftless world is misplaced.
What can actually happen if two twins curse you nowthat the rift is gone? Absolutely nothing. You benefit from likely not seeing them for a month, if anything.
What happens when a veteran is twinning with his new friend and they encounter a griefer? Theyll likely see them again, because they cant curse them.
This limitation is obviously outdated, and no longer serves the purpose it had when it was implemented.

Multiples are powerful, with or without a rift. The cursing restriction should have been in place much earlier. I see no reason to change it now.
If the curse system changes again (and it probably will at some point), curse-stacking could easily become a griefer exploit. Not worth the risk, in my opinion.
Not being able to curse other people is just the price you pay for teaming up in OHOL. You gain a lot of advantages by having a partner. Don't be greedy.

I dont think there should be a consequence for players choosing to play together. I've seen it used in many great ways, including new player tutoring
The reason the limitation was implemented is outdated and no longer applies to the game in any way.
I'm not sure why you are so paranoid about twins, but we can agree to disagree. No use repeating things we've both already said.

If you think 2 - 4 curses don't matter, then it doesn't matter if twins/trips/quads can curse.
Sure it does! Twins have the need to curse just the same as any player. The curse system is intended to make it so you dont have to play around people you dont want to. Just because you're being born with a buddy doesn't mean you have any less of that need.

Just make it so for twins, the curse tokens take 1.5x as long (90 minutes) if they use it in that lifespan, 2x for triplets (120 minutes), 2.5x for quads (150 minutes)... and this would apply even if they play solo after the fact.
This way you won't have players abusing others, and in general a deterrent from twins+ cursing in their lifespan. And at the same time, they won't be helpless to griefers.
