How Much Has Average Generation Length Dropped?

Granted there exist two factors.  The changes to families capabilities to produce water AND the new player influx.  But still, looking at "today's deep roots" on 11/20/19 Wednesday morning,

1. 29 lineage depth for Eve Stark.

2. 19 lineage depth for Eve Frings.

3. 14 lineage depth for Eve Allister.

4. 11 lineage depth for Eve Cherry.

5. 10 lineage depth Nameless.

The top 5 of last weeks deep roots, which cover a whole week instead of a day, range from 97 for 1. to 78 for number 5.

Maybe such numbers aren't a bad indication of anything bad with the game.  I've argued that more early camps means more civilization building, so maybe overall that's good.  But, given that lineage depth has dropped a good amount, it's at least worth wondering how much things have changed.  Also, it seems that people on the discord are saying that the new advanced water technology is the deep well.  Which means that the fully water tech tree remains out of reach for a lot of families, and it looks like they aren't living that long either.
