So What are Penguins for?
I know they are useless, but who else wants a penguin hat?

I was unable to club any of them, I like clubbing seals and dressing my family is luxurious hides.
We need to be able to eat seals and other meats raw for maybe less food restored.

Cuteness? I think they're for the cuteness.
Maybe feathers, giant eggs or something? Maybe one day we'll be able to use them as an alternative to firewood. (Totally awful idea but that actually contributed to the extinction of the great auk, they were used as fuel for the fire due to their high fat content and being too dumb/friendly to run away from sailors.)

They're the only object that you can actually interact with as a baby. Chasing penguins around is fun while you're waiting to starve as your eve mother wandered off to find food.

So it's settled: The purpose of Penguins is to keep the babies of neglecting mothers company until they die from starvation.

You can also harass geese and rabbits.
I like to go by "Eve Scripps" and name my kids after medications

haha so i'm not the only one who does that with penguins while starving as a baby. The snakes aren't as much fun.
