i wake up to the nice surprise of 2 towns with 2 bells each.
vector sum is roughly
- 1400 .x
+ 1500 .y
(from old bells to new bells, or sign flipped for the other direction)
so its a long "/" diagonal, the newer bells are [1500 tiles SW] of the older trillian-bells, the older bells are [1500 tiles NE] of the newer bells.
the .x coordinates of the 2 newer bells are almost identical, this is how you can tell the bell-pairs apart.
but before thousands of people break their head over the vector math above, can someone just post the wondible map of 4 bells in one map image, with 1,5k distance between 2 bell pairs.
it may be neat for efficient riad and in-bnetween settlement planning.
that would create a web that you may likely find, even without any bells rang during your lifetime.
and this is how i became the prince of bell pair.

Feuers and Goldys died out in one of the double bell tower cities like two hours ago. The one with the southern "CLOTHES" building (empty), stone walled graveyard and a northeastern oil rig. It's been a town for so many families; Whislers, Fawns, Feuers, Goldys, even some Deltoro grave was there.
I left some rose seeds north of the stone wall graveyard, if someone would like to try planting them. I died there as Elah Goldy, I was making notes to help people find the oil rig. I made the path there as Bob Whisler, few days ago.
Will be looking for the map picture if someone posts it, if not, I may try to do it.
EDIT: tried those coordinates, couldn't confirm if it was the A/B or C/D Bells town, it got bells really late so maybe C/D? This is what Bob's coordinates give me. Elah Goldy died above the two bells 2h ago, Bob Whisler died there 3 days ago. Gibran Whisler too.
There was two complete bell towers, and one was just a tower.

i was in new bell town, rode NE, put some plates down, and one turkey on one of them.
theres one nice ruin ne of it, cut many trees near spring ne of new bell town, and some made kindling.
then a bell rang, with confusing coordinates far east, too old to reach, may be a 5th bell.

ony my 5th try i finally made the ride form new bell town to old bell town.
the ingame arrow claims old bell town to be 2k NE of new bell town, so thats just pythagoras at work?
new bell town now has 3 bells rung a lot.
theres like 6 bells ingame that are currently rang.

well thats a very invomplete map of the town that has now 4 bells, its also very zoomed in.
what i want is that location. and 2k northeast of it, all in one image.
theres 6 bells in that imate,+1 that got blocked off by tarr.

Is that 2k northeast or not? If you want more, take a pic yourself? You can see the coordinates in my first image.

this may be the silliest idea i ever started within 2 lifes (black lines)
lets build a road of at least 1500+1400 tiles between the two bell towns. (plus some inevitable zigzagging)

Oh wow. But won’t the servers reset in some updates? And won’t an apocalypse clear out paths and walls?

Well then let’s actively disrupt apocalypses by any means necessary (besides anything considered griefing).
Also it’s a massive task but a nice idea building extremely long roads. If I’m in a multibell town I’ll see if I can just spend a life gathering flat rocks there.

yes, lets make a 58 minute long youtube video of us screaming madly till the apocalypse happens.
if anything, such a long road more likely makes the endstone creation easier. it was like that before most recent apocalypse. long roads past jungles dad endstones made in them.
but endstone makers do not need such a road at all, they just dound cities near them anyways. it wont make a significant difference to them, they can just twin-eve towards apocalypses.
chopping down all banana trees near a nosai makes it a tiny bit harder to make an endstone?
----
1k long roads with 4-5 cities along them have good persistence.
this one is just 2-4k long, depending on wether you measure euclidean or manhattan/taxicap distances, with or without its smaller detours.
apocalypses sure clear out anything.
but the point of this game sure is not persistence of anything within the game, and if anything persists, its outside if games.
it lives in the moment, and this road during construction sure adds some more unique moments.

Would be epic to see those connect. Will surely make a pop up town if the path lands on a nice spot at some point!

all the larger green along the blue line already have smaller bases or ruins, 6-12 maybe.
currently these riad constructions are mere base-extenions. they are long on their own, but compared to the 200 tile influence radius of a base, where you find a lot of junk and satelite bases, the purple road is not far out of that.
the early road does not make the bell city easier to find, as if thats a problem with constant bell ringing. and also not much faster to navigate, its a relatively short arm, compared to city distance.
the incomplete road has very little impact.
actually no, there is a minor increase of corpses full of items along the road, most likely just starvations.

not all of the purple is stone plated, it fizzles out into long lines of 20ish stakes, except where there are small tots, to mark a planned "needle hole" route.
