Speaking of genes...

... Here's a fun playlist about evolution.

How likely are we to survive - mathematically?
What are selfish genes?
Is it natural that we care about one another or not?

Of course, this discussion does not take into account how "souls" live on and carry on their knowledge, preferences and behavior into new OHOL lives, but perhaps it can still shed some light on the social experiment that is OHOL:

Re: Speaking of genes...

HAH, I have watched these guys videos too.

It is then I learned that altruism being beneficial is a lie, and my heart descended into darkness.

Re: Speaking of genes...

Hahaha nice, I’ve watched all of his videos last month. I’m even thinking about making a game based on his channel, where everyone can run experiments, but Im working in another project now.

A lot of Information in a short amount of Time might lead to a pretty big Conclusion, but Conclusions and Information, are finite.
C = I / T

Whereas Time exposed to more Information than Conclusions, is increasing constantly.
T = I / C

So, if you really want to be more Informed, give more Conclusions more Time.
I = C * T

That said, I watched the video, got your reference, looked up Hamilton's Rule, found the Kin Selection Wiki and after reading

"R.A. Fisher in 1930 and J.B.S. Haldane in 1932 set out the mathematics of kin selection, with Haldane famously joking that he would willingly die for two brothers or eight cousins."

have decided that I too, would die for Two Brothers.

It's a good movie.

Not so sure about the Eight Cousins though.
Sounds like something David Crane, or, Norman Lear, would produce.
