There exist fewer families living now since the recent update from what I hear. Civilization maintainence is opposed to civilization building. Someone making an oven builds civilization, while someone cleaning up a kitchen is involved in civilization maintainence. An Eve camp smith builds a kiln and makes a bellows. Neither of those happen for later smiths. An engine might get built by a later smith, but once it's built, there's probably not another engine built, or if such happens occasionally, it's less frequent overall. But, there do exist other ways of building, of course. So since the last update and the week before, has there existed less civilization building and more civilization maintainence?
Berry bushes get built once. After that they are maintained.
Also, how did the frequency of civilization building change after the come together update? I mean I heard that people would just discover other people's camps, which sounds like civilization building declined. But I haven't played on bs2 since then, so I don't have any experience here, and could have missed something I suppose.

I think that's just because they've hit the top of the tech tree. Most of the time, the maintenance is necessary so that people can last long enough to get to the really tough tech, like radios and planes. After that, we have no clue. They'd probably start crusades or begin spreading out into new land, since the tech tree has been completed
Favourite Lives: MrDryer/ChirpChapley (Eva II) Town Nurse (Beth Storm) Ma's Best Li'l Helper (Law Autry), The Latex Lord (Kevin Youree), 60 Years a Blacksmith (Victoire Mom) The Egglord's Apprentice (Thomas II), Big Blood Brother (Dante), Horse racer on doomsday (Lilly Tana)

Berry bushes get built and then maintained. Farming plots with other crops as the initial crops also need built, and then the soil has a hardened row, so the degree of building is less when soiling a hardened row than when planting carrots (or other crops) for the first time. Plates are only new for so long. And so on. I don't think that's just because they've hit the top of the tech tree, though admittedly once you reach the top of the tech tree, there's probably less building as building for purely creative purposes isn't what players take on so often or there exist other problems in an advanced camp that can use or need work first.

With the new system, cities should now be built.. Daughters should spread out a bit and start their own village for their family.. The only problem I see with that is limited resources, due to everything already being scavenged by the village they were born in. If traveled far enough it could happen though. As of now, there aren't a whole lot of villages. I'm born into the same ones multiple times to where I know exactly where the neighboring villages are. Daughters need to start spreading out and "eve" play to make it more diverse.

This is impossible with the 15 member per family limit though
