I can't believe how easy it apparently is to have someone's life work taken down from Github.
But if you go here, you will find a lovely 404:
https://github.com/jasonrohrer
And anything pointing at github right now (like onetech) is totally broken.
And github never emailed me about this. Not a whisper. Just poof, account gone.
When I logged in, I could see my account, and see that it had been "flagged," with no other explanation given.

What the heck!

Well that explains why I kept getting a 404 earlier.
Not sure if sad that it's that easy to get something pulled down or hilarious that you triggered someone that much with your thread.
fug it’s Tarr.

absolute BS! Get with github, and go ahead and link to them as many articles as you can find of reviews and critiques and reports about the game to show them you are legit.

I submitted an abuse report to github stating that someone was misusing their abuse system to harrass a creator.
My message
My name is Bryan Bartlett, and I play a game called One Hour One Life (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Hour_One_Life) which is a critically acclaimed game about civilization building.
The owner, https://github.com/jasonrohrer, which I have files for One Hour One Life downloaded from for modding, has been taken down and marked as flagged.
It seems this happens within 24 hours of a player making hotly heated comments about the creator on the forums.
I ask that, as a concerned member of the community, that a member of your team search google for One Hour One Life to see the creator is a legitimate game designer, and who's game has been widely hailed as a "masterpiece of game design", and who has shown that a game that is open source can still be a successful game, proving that GitHub is still a place for independent developers to reach their audience. Thank you
Hope it helps.

Thanks!
Actually, I now think it may have been an over-active spam filter.
Earlier today, I posted Twisted's list of annoyances as an issue, and I linked to the original forum post for reference.
Perhaps that link was seen as spam. Maybe that's not what caused the flagging, but it's quite likely that I will never know.
Anyway, one way or the other, my entire account, and all 23 of my repos hosted there, have been blocked.
And here's the REALLY scary thing:
I can still see my own account, but all of the Issues have been removed in both OneLife and OneLifeData7. Both repos are showing 0 issues (open or closed, they're all gone).
This is absolutely terrifying.... I'm hoping they will come back when my account is unflagged, but if not, then all of our collective work on the issues is lost.
Feels like only yesterday when SourceForge was burning down, so I jumped ship to Github. And now looks like Github is burning down... nowhere left to jump.

If all the issues are gone that would suck, but they probably have a backup of some sort so asking their customer service for a rollback shouldn't be an issue, unless that's not how it works...
Offline
LOL! I don't think an account can be taken down with a single flag. Especially if it's for unjustified reasons such as spite. It was probably a bot, a mistake on Github's side.

The github is back, with what appears the issues intact

This tweet got a response from the CEO of Github, a $7 billion dollar company:
https://twitter.com/jasonrohrer/status/ … 1149880320
Also, I just learned that GitHub was bought by Microsoft a while back.
They did email me saying the account is back, but they still haven't explained what happened. The CEO promised me that they will let me know what happened when they figure it out on their end.

I am glad that it got resolved in the end. Don't know if my own report did anything, but fact it got fixed before their CEO got wind of it is a good thing lol
