Hello all, So I had a dream lol a dream that one day I can make a zoo for the town to take their kids and enjoy a day of fun and relaxation. so my plan is this, i will build small enclosures a bit far on the out side of town to avoid those griefer assholes getting ideas and i will fill the different enclosures with the different wildlife of the game. this is purely just something i wish to do and see to have something different and fun in my play. I'm sure i wont get it done in one life but since it seems I'm reborn to the same dam family ten times a day now it shouldn't be an issue lol. All i ask is please don't interrupt me or try to destroy while i make my dream come true and please don't assume I'm griefing, thats just not my play style, i love the roleplay aspect of the game and want to see this pretend zoo come to life for many generations to come to enjoy. that is all thank you lol. also my spacebar is broken till tomorrow when i get a new keyboard so i had to write this with my on-screen keyboard and it took forever. sigh.

You may wish to build the structure, let it go ancient and then come back and fill it with beasts at a later time.

The One City Server has a zoo. It is pretty cool.
Mouflon and buffalo are easy, since the domesticated one can be moved into the pen with a rope. Boars are also not that difficult, but be careful since the domestic boar is still deadly. Same thing with the domestic wolf. Make sure the pen is secure first and seal it up after the animal is placed inside. Bears are actually quite simple to pen in as long as you have a horse-cart to make it safe to transport the bear long distances. Or set-up the pen in a badlands and build the enclosure around a bear den. That might be a good idea so the bear has somewhere to sleep.
You can make a temporary zoo using property fence, but that is not a very safe way to secure dangerous animals long-term. In a grassland, you can construct a pen using long branches for fence posts. In a swamp, you can use adobe bases or half-walls. In most regions, you can dig up large stones and use bell-tower bases to make a stone enclosure. Or use full stones to make stone walls, which are twice as expensive but will eventually become "ancient" and unbreakable. Personally, I would make stone walls for the bear, boar, and wolves. I would use wood fencing for the mouflon, buffalo, and fully domesticated animals (goose, sheep, pig). And I would do plastered adobe for the domesticated dog pen.
But that's just me

If there was a zoo in a town, I'd bring my children to go see the animals.
I think the idea is pretty cool.

Here's a tip for wolves: since domesticated wolves die, you can lure them into their cage but leave no space in there to move. When they can't move, they can't age.
Another way is to lure them into the cage and then make them have puppies.
