TOMATOES a tool for griefers !

Planting tomatoes has become a griefing strategy.
People do it to waste soil and space.

This can be easily fixed by making tomatoes eatable.
One tomato could give 2 pips for example.

It would also be nice if we could throw tomatoes.
Similar to snowballs, but without freezing effect.
They could also force feed a person when thrown over a distance. (if possible without breaking yum chain)
This could be useful to keep prisoners alive.
Just throw a tomato at a prisoner to keep him alive.

This would make tomatoes into good anti griefing tool,
you would not be able to starve people by throwing tomatoes at them,
but you could disarm them.

Re: TOMATOES a tool for griefers !

This is just part of a bigger problem of food recipes where the ingredients aren't edible where they would be in real life. Peppers, onions, etc should all be edible. As well as many other foods that aren't technically complete like carnitas or tortillas, mashed carrots and berries, grain.

Making any recipe part way and then stopping could be considered a form of griefing.

The rule of thumb should be as long as you wouldn't get sick from eating it in real life, it should be edible.

Yeah, we need to be able to eat raw tomatoes or have more recipes for it.
We could have tomato soup that uses several tomatoes to balance the productions, my suggestion would be 3 tomatoes, 1 onion and water (maybe some herbs too) in crock pot to make tomato soup.

And it would be awesome if you eat raw peppers it would give a "red face effect" and an increase in temperature (the opposite of ice cream) XD

I have a hunch Jason is one of those who recoil in disgust at the idea of biting into a raw tomato lol

I definitely am one of those too lol. Sounds disgusting. But a simpler recipe that doesn't hinge on making other items would be nice for tomatoes, onions and peppers. Right now they're completely useless alone- you have to either make salsa and chips to go with, or ketchup and fries to go with..

Some simple recipes for the more annoying crops would be nice. Maybe Soup, like Katears mentioned. Or Chili of some kind. Would be cool if we could also add onions and peppers to egg to make a better omelette, since they're common ingredients in such.

We need new, simple recipes... every recipe added into the game since omelettes have been over-complicated, late-game recipes that nobody bothers with except for the occasional yum. We need more early staples, something we don't need higher tech or 500 ingredients to make.

sounds like primitive curry. you would just need to add a few peppers and chicken smile

Tomato paste and cheese (get a wheel of cheese by letting bowl milk sit indoors for 2 minutes, then a wheel can be sliced into 8 cheeses , 4 food each on its own)
Just use the pie crust as pizza base, screw it
