The plan this week is to tackle bugs

No content update planned for this week, except for fixing content bugs.

I'm going to spend the week fixing all the known issues.

A thread about what can be put in carts and what can't. Someone told me to submit it as a github bug in that thread. Didn't know if it meet the standards and have not use github for like 3 years...

Yes, that stuff counts as a bug.

Essentially, any obvious inconsistencies in behavior.  If there's a good reason for the inconsistency, I'll note the reason and close the bug report.

One thing I was going to post on the github but forgot:

Add new clothing as being able to be placed on graves, like the other clothes are.

Any chamce you can change the behavior of a full backpack whwn trying to add food? It makes you eat it instead of just failing to put in the item

i dont have github but knife/sharp stone consistency would be great.

come to mind knives being able to dig wild carrots and burdock, and also mashing the pie fillings.

Well, knives are "fine cutter" and do different things.  You wouldn't really dig a hole with a knife... would make it dull.  Sharp stone is a crude cutter.  Can't skin an animal, etc.

As a matter of policy and sanity, I only deal with bugs that are filed on github.  It's the best way for me to track them, ask questions about them, etc.  Also, when I commit code to fix them, the issue gets auto-closed and tagged with the commit, which really saves a lot of time and confusion in the future (you can go back and see what code fix actually fixed the bug, etc).

So... please get a github account and file bugs there.  Try it.  You'll like it!  smile

And yeah, that full backpack thing should be filed there.

Yeah, it's sometimes hard for outsiders to tell what's a content bug and what's a programming bug.

Essentially, if you can see the bug in OneTech, it's a content bug.  Like, you can see that some item never decays, or there's no way to make X, or whatever.

If it can't be fixed by fixing something in OneTech, that's a programming bug.  The fact that when you click on a full backpack with food, you eat the food accidentally is a programming bug.


BUT.... in general, don't be nervous about posting in the wrong place.  It's very easy for me to move reports to the right place.  I do this all the time.

18 people appeared on server1 on Tuesday.  So, it looks like (and we've seen this before) the reflector sends people there when it's NOT an update period.  I'm sure that's a bug.

I also wonder, should rope be able to split into thread like a lasso can split into rope, or is it intentional that rope can't split into thread?

Personally I think it's good that you can't split it. Keeps people from using it for sewing.
What I wonder is why you can take a bucket kit apart but not the track cart kit?

Just post it to the github if it's not already there. The worst Jason can do is dismiss whatever you post but he does have to see it either way rather than seeing if he remembers to check the forum post on stuff.

I added a few things that we have talked about here and tried to match up some duplicates. If even 1/3 of the stuff on the git hub list changed I'd be so happy.

As a fellow gardener, you might appreciate that one of my tools I use to mix soil to a perfect consistency is a bayonet from the Korean war.

Now that knife can dig a hole, but its an exception.

In general, a kinfe should be able to do almost all the things a sharp stone can do IMO.
