Cannibalism? Other odd mechanics

Is this a possibility?
Do you think it would be a fun mechanic?
Do you have any of your own that you can imagine?

Re: Cannibalism? Other odd mechanics

Humans are a renewable source. Either farming children is a viable strategy that makes carrots obsolete, or cannibalism is inefficient and only makes sense when the whole village unexpectedly runs out of food.

How do you stop old people from offering their bodies up just before they die? "Here kid, I don't have much time left... Have a bite"

Directly having them be food wouldn't work with this game... Having an involved process to turn graves into soil might be interesting though.

Re: Cannibalism? Other odd mechanics

Have cannibals contract kuru or some other illness that shortens their life?

Then the player has to think, sure i can eat my baby, but then ill die sooner, is it worth it?

I wonder if they will make a soylent green like product some time future along in the future. What is funny is that most people really wouldn't know what it is made out of at first, before they learn how to make it them self.
