The lives I had played the past few days have mostly given me boys. Anyone else not spawning many girls?
My first life today, I had 2 boys and 1 girl. My daughter only had 1 child (a boy).
The last life I lived today I had all boys, and somehow I became the nanny of other babes while feeding my kids, all those were boys also. Not sure if there were any girls left when I died to keep the village going.

It's just RNG, you should probably not try and raise every single boy if you're worried about population growth/resource consumption. Baby abandonment is a sad part of the game that many people don't appreciate, but it's a necessary evil in order to make sure towns survive.

Nah, keep your boys.
If your village is struggling to feed itself, you WANT a high boy to girl ratio (more boys) so your birth rate remains low compared with your adult productivity level. Intentionally skewing your birth stats to favor girls will do nothing but hurt you in the long run. You need at least one girl for village survival, of course. But too many girls will kill off a village a lot faster than too many boys.

Sometimes I feel the game throws too many babies at us. Like as soon as you turn 14, You get one kid after another.
Luckily the town nursery helps alleviate the issues of constantly having to feed a kid.

Women have put babies on our backs for thousands of years. Why can't a baby go in the backpack and take up all 4 slots?

or better yet on your front so you can still wear a backpack.
I'll tell you what I tell all my children: Make basket, always carry food.
Listen to your mom!
