Maps could help or SAVE player lives
I had many, many times where I got lost but eventually found the town
Few times, I was completely lost and died because of it
Maps would be very useful if used correctly
There would be 3 sizes: small, medium, large
These either zoom out the player's vision, but that's a hack of it self, so it could be actual drawn map shown by when used on self, will fade in or appear from the top, moving down and oppisite when exiting by clicking anywhere
To make a map, youneed to take a piece of paper, say /map while holding pencil with paper
To increase the size, you just need to put maps together of the same size
To start mapping, say /draw while holding map and pencil, to end mapping, just say /stop
Compass:
A compass can be used as a mobile marker director
To use it, you need to click on something sedetary, like a forge, kiln, wall or such
One positive side is that it will remember, where you marked it, meaning if some jerk breaks the item, you still can get home
I enjoy the simpler things in life, but only if I'm calm.

Wut? That's what a home marker is for lol.
I could see a crafted compass that gives current tile coordinates though, but even that is highly unlikely to ever happen.

I'm flying high. But the worst is never first, and there's a person that'll set you straight. Cancelling the force within my brain. For flying high. The simulator has been disengaged.

A compass that can be set to show the location of natural stationary objects would be great, too. So you could go back to that iron vein you pass by on your rabbit run...

I aim to leave behind a world that is easier for people to live in that it was before I got there.

see my idea of the tile compass was for iron mines and veins too. So you can just write on a piece of paper (iron mine coordinates xxxx by xxxx) and leave by the smitty.

The problem with home markers are, that if cut down, it stops showing the way home
Compass remembers that tile

Pretty sure this is not the case.

A compass in a game where up is north and you could just say "left up" for northwest. Fantastic.
I like the giant map idea though! Maybe we need a corkboard, and /map would draw one screen. Then you attatch all of them together on the corkboard and move them around until you have a town map.
You have now laid eyes upon the one and only Raidan Allcock on the leaderboards.
