Instead of bundling up all the code and all the data for a UnixSource update each time there's a new binary release, I'm trying out a new distribution method.
The Source bundle now just comes with a tiny script that pulls from the main, public mercurial source repositories.
It automatically builds the latest version for you based on the repository tags.
Linux folks, please give it a try (follow your original download link) and let me know if you have any problems.
You have to install mercurial, of course.

Just tried this; I ended up with a directory without a transitions/ directory,
which led to a segfault.
"ln -s OneLifeData7/transitions/ ." seemed to fix it.

Okay, will fix this on Monday.

So, this should be fixed in the Live2 version that I just posted. Can you give it a try, Zed?

How would I go about setting up a windows server to use?
Offline
It's harder on Windows... you'd need to compile it with MinGW and such.
I will release Windows server binaries someday.
For now, have you considered just buying a Linode? They are $5/month. If you install Ubuntu on it, and then follow the included server instructions from the source bundle (in OneLife/documentation), you will have a server running in no time.

Ok, I bought a $5 Linode. I have no freaking clue what to do next. =-D
