No I don't have a terminal illness.
Context/story below.
My boyfriend is always anxious, agitated almost, about growing older and not achieving enough.
Made him play 1H1L because I enjoy the game, so zen, much chill.
He didn't like or wanted to play the game because he thought 1 hour was too short.
But yeah we compromised and he played the game.
Was very surprised when he told me that feels better about dying and not achieving enough after playing a few games.
You may have encountered him, he was in a wolf hat yelling "I am water man" for a solid hour or so.
He spent his last years running around looking for the next water man.
He managed to pass down the wolf hat dubbed 'water man hat' to the next water man.
Jason thank you for the game!
You gave him something through this game that other things couldn't give him.

Wow, that's a sweet story.
Making this game is a kind of therapy for me along the same axis.
I just turned 40.
Trying to understand my tiny place in the big picture...

That’s just awesome, thanks for sharing!
I saw something like this in one of the reviews: “this game will teach you more about the human condition than any book.” It may not touch every player as profoundly, but it’s an achievement that it does with some. Personally I enjoy reading the stories just as much as I do playing myself. Perhaps even more.
