I'm aware that Jason is trying to make the game "Just right" before he starts expanding the tech tree but everyone is getting bored and losing interest. People either lose interest and stop playing or turn to griefing to entertain themselves, I liked the family tree but that still isn't actual in-game content to play with. The most recent new thing I can recall is the bell tower, leaves alot to be desired.
Anyways I just want to know how much longer until we start seeing new things instead of slightly changed old things.

I mean he made signs. I make silly signs to keep myself entertained.

We'll see, I did hear a rumor about new characters models coming soon. Don't get me wrong, That is definitely needed but it dosn't really change anything in the game.
Idk, Maybe he'll sneak in a surprise but my expectations this week are low.

Yeah. If you read The Nudity Question in News you'll see he says that there will be 100 player models, all with unique looks and skin tones, though I hope there'll be more.
You have to optimistic in this case.

What if there were different heights of character models? Slightly different, not too obnoxious. That might be fun! I could play as a short (adult) lady running around in the woods gathering tinder.

The last couple of updates were pretty weak, but he usually adds a few things every week. It is just a few items at a time doesn't really push the tech forward very much.

Tech wise, Aqueducts would be really cool...

I actually thought about that. It seemed too expected to grow the exact height of everyone else, to the point where I actually use it as a trick to see when I hit adulthood. I really do want some height variation.

Keep in mind that I'm just one person!
There are bugs to fix, new features to add (like the family tree, grave names, etc.), and general launch stuff. And then there is content to add.
In the grand scheme of things, this game "just launched" and is still "brand new". We're still 5 days away from the 3-month mark, and the game was in development for 3 years before launch. My original plan was to keep working on the game for at least 2 years after launch, so that means we have at least 21 more months to go.
I have put out some kind of weekly update, with either new features or new content, every week for the past 12 weeks, except for the one week that I was away at GDC. That is 11 updates since launch. We have 93 more updates to go.
I have not at all come close to my stated goal of 100 new objects per week. I believe the largest update so far was something like 85 new things in one week.
But, as the other development work diminishes (no bugs left to fix, servers are stable and fast, I'm not answering 50 emails a day, people are generally happy with the state of the game), then I will be able to work towards that 100/week goal. I will be able to spend all 5 days each week producing content.
This game has been through A LOT of stuff over the past three months. Players have been unhappy with the state of the game many times and for many different reasons. Boredom, steady states, griefing, lack of meaning, baby suicide, etc. And that list doesn't even include "bad updates," which of course I had to scramble to fix instead of making more content. I think most of that stuff has been ironed out now, and most people think the game is in a pretty good place.
This is reflected in the player reviews. The last negative review was posted 5 days ago (until the one that was just posted today), amid 20+ positive reviews during that time. Sales are climbing too. People like the game again. I think that's really important.

Indeed, I like the general direction that things are going.
Now that the crazy launch period has cooled into a steady community, the suicide baby and griefing problems have shrunk as well.

I do understand that. In fact, I felt too demanding when I said we needed different character heights. I don't mean make them RIGHT NOW! But it would be interesting if you could make them sometime. It'd make the heights less monotone at that. Sorry if we overwhelmed you.

Yeah I get that, I guess once all the boring stuff is out of the way you can focus more on content. I'll be looking forward to them advanced futuristic civs, Can't wait to make synthetic pies and genetically modified carrots.

You're doing a very good job
1.) staying consistently on top of updates
2.) actively being a part of the community you started
3.) helping us stay aware of the current limitations
4.) not giving up on us (as the consumer base) or the project.
If I were a game developer with a project of this scope, I would have thrown in the towel a long time ago.
Stay strong! We can tell you care.
We are just excited for new stuff, that's all. :-)
Sorry if I overwhelmed you at all.
