The story of Jack the bandit

This was a while back, before the lineage update and such. I was born into a small yet thriving town of about four/five people... All of which were girls aside from my uncle Tom. I was born as a baby boy. My mother hadn't even looked at me. She walked along, picking carrots and seeding carrots as if I didn't exist. Luckily, my uncle Tom came to the rescue. He had fed me carrots and berries, and had called me 'Jack'. The others absolutely dispised me, as I had survived, even when they had left me to die. I would show them. Once I grew of age, had taken to farming as well, though I also loved to smith. Then, I heard the death scream. My grandmother had killed my uncle Tom. She saw me and tried to kill me, too, but I lost her in the swamp to the west. I was beyond angry. How dare they kill my uncle, the only decent person in town?! I mostly stayed outside of camp, living off of berries while I planned my revenge. I had made a bow, a backpack from stolen rabbit furs, and four arrows. It was time to act! Instead of killing them off directly, however, I decided to build slowly. I took carts of carrots while they weren't looking. I picked the bushes dry and ate the berries. I shot anybody who had tried to venture out in search of more food or rabbit furs. I picked off any children who wandered even the slightest away from camp. After messing up a couple of times and accidently moving out from behind the trees while trying to shoot people, I quickly became known to the townsfolk. My grandmother was probably fifty something now, inches away from death. There were two more mothers, but they weren't arrow proof. I had killed everybody one by one until there were only three people left in town. There was my grandmother, my niece, and my baby nephew, who had only stayed alive because my niece had fed him, which is why I kept my niece alive. My grandmother told my niece about the '###-face who lived in the swamp like some disgusting ogre'. She flatly ignored my nephew, to nobody's surprise. Eventually, I came out of hiding and sat in the middle of camp. My grandmother had drawn her knife, the same one she had used to kill my uncle. But it was too late for her. I had shot her, and was able to get away by hiding behind the swamp trees. Her last words were 'f### you nameless s###', and these brought a smile to my face. My uncle had been avenged. I proceeded to hide the bow and arrows, and had started taking carrots back to the town. My niece and nephew didn't trust me at all at first at first, but they warmed up to me after I brought a fourth cart of carrots back. My niece had a name (I think it was 'Lola'), but my nephew didn't. I had decided to call him Tom, in honor of my uncle. My niece ended up having five girls and a boy, and all but two of the girls had lived as far as I know. My nephew grew up successfully and ended up teaching his own nephew how to smith. As for me? Well, I died of old age in the middle of town... But not before I had taken on an apprentice. The bandit lineage had lived on.

Re: The story of Jack the bandit

Great playthrough!

I try to keep all my kids.  The boys run away more which makes me sad.  I make a point of naming them and saying "Welcome, you are loved!".

Sometimes I've gone through an entire life where all the kids run away.  Maybe I should write a story like you did.  I love the stories here.

Re: The story of Jack the bandit

Thank you, guys, for replying! I used to always type up my stories but I stopped after a while because it felt like I was reciting shakesphere to a brick wall. I'm glad you enjoyed the story!

Re: The story of Jack the bandit

It would help if you paragraphed your stories properly. It's hard to read as a wall of text.
