Rabbit Ranch

It would be awesome if similair to how you can domesticate sheep we could catch Rabbits and raise them for meat an fur instead of always going to a rabbit hole. Like if a rabbit family hole is snared you can either leave the baby to grow or catch it with a nap sack (not in game as of now). Then you can place it in a fence or hutch (which isnt in game as of now). and it will continue to have babies inside the fence  who will then also have babies etc etc. to be used for meat an fur. Love the idea of being a rabbit breeder, providing meat for pie maker an fur for the tailor. NO NAKED BABIES!!. The domestic rabbits wouldn't need to be snared once int he fence you just walk up an hit them on the head with a rock, skin them with flint an well la! Domestic rabbits can be picked up an held (you have to have a carrot in hand to catch them. if however the rabbit is unable to be caught it will make a burrow near by an turn back into a wild rabbit (some sort of time frame from escape an turning wild) If the rabbits got loose carrot farm beware!!! This is where they will be drawn to.

Re: Rabbit Ranch

Yeah, hutch that you fill with food is a must, feeding individual rabbits by hand would be a nightmare.

there remains still the question of the finite soil to feed whatever domesticated animal

Soil is NOT finite any more dude.
Compost is Carrot+Berry Bowl+Straw +water+poo
Poo = Carrot+Berry Bowl
Compost gives 4 Soils.
2 for Berries upkeep (if pushing a lot of it) 1 for straw + some of the last one for two carrots and a two seeds.
Gives a side product of grains and a sheep (grown) perfect combo for 4 mutton pies as well as either one wool or sheep skin.

Also as berry farm grows and grows as a result of this process you will get more and
more regrows on the berries giving you more and more spare soils as a percentage.
Seeded carrot rows also do not need to be tilled, so if you were perfect with your seed
leaves you could have your only inputs to the process be water.. Given proper well
management (also possible) you can have more and more water over time.

Re: Rabbit Ranch

Ooh, can they be angora bunnies so that we can spin thread off them (spindle + bunny = thread + bare bunny)? And maybe use the poop for compost (at a much slower return that sheep poop, obviously).

bare bunny + time = hairy bunny
hairy bunny + time = overheating bunny

Unlike sheep, the fibre from bunnies is just the undercoat. But for simplicity you could treat it like shearing.

Seriously bunnies are a great resource.
