Gunna go ahead and say fav update ideas right now would be:
1. Fix planes so you can fly back and forth easily, any distance with permanent, ungreifable landing pads
2. Cargo planes that are basically flying trucks
3. Oil tankers would be cool
4. Steam trains that move faster than sports cars along tracks

I see little to no need to use planes. All families are usually close enough to use cheep horse for travel.
Only use for them is escaping rift or if you can bring oil from super distant place.

Imo the best updates the game could get
-remove race restriction
-remove the leadership nonsense and bring back pvp
+add 100% possibility to born to same family if you live 60
+watercan

There are 16 official servers at least 10 are sitting idle all the time. One of them could be modified for previous gameplay style.
Tho its easy to just enable/disable those options it would be too much work to further balance the game and splitting small player base is not good either.

I wrote a fully new server for OHOL Called Opfen Life Reborn.
- It has no race restrictions but some race boni like getting more Banana if you are Brown. And yes Banana grow back on this server, actually everything grows back on this server like in a natural world.
- There is no leadership nonsense and you can attack everybody with a small 6 sec cooldown.
- You are born back close to where you have a proper grave (actually in vanilla Jason fixed that if you are 60 and have some living relatives you are born back to them)
- Not yet a watercan, yet, since it would need a client change, but there are rivers and oceans...
many many many many more new mechanics but still playable with vanilla client.

You can play it with any normal OHOL client by entering server IP:

I think you should build some kind of wiki or something showing the improvements/changes you've made, listing the issues etc

In the discord server there is short introduction for starters.

Otherwise there is a big big changelog with most of the mechanics and what is still to TODO and what is planned here:

Some changes might be missing in there or little bit outdated, but most should be up to date.
Yea i want to clean it more up, so that it is a prober manual.

There is not yet a display how many players are currently on. Currently the server is not well known, so mostly people play when there are events like trekky streaming it. But yea a counter would be nice to have!

If you have further questions at best ask in a new Topic, or in Discord im happt to answer.

I think the best update would be removing super tiny field of view. Built in "zoom mod" for everyone could bring this game to life.

A few new items won't change much. I'm really curious of the future of this game
