Hello everyone who wants to hear
You no longer have to fear
The game will no longer be haunted
The horseman collected all he wanted
With every head he got a clue
Then shared them with me and you
We collected all the data really neat
And added it to a big Google Sheet
At first it didnt make much sense
but after a while, the decoding could commence
Soon words started to emerge
And we could start our big search
You see, Jason hid a cache somewhere
With the answer you could get there
It's a shame I live near Amsterdam
Becasue the riddle lead us to Nottingham
"Deer in field" became deerfield road
Then Pawtuckaway Park emerged, we cracked the code
Round (the) pond road came into view
North Mountain Bypass was there too!
(full riddle in second post for you)
As soon as the riddle did unravel
We needed a hero, ready to travel
We did all the work we could do from our home
This is where Chomp (discord name) started to roam
He walked the path that we laid out
The tree with double mark, he had to scout
He found the wall with a spot to sit
Then used a compass for the last bit
There he found a rare double pine
With a rotting log behind, it did allign
He lifted it up, and found something black
It was done, time to turn back
Everybody involved awaited his return
What was in the cache? They wanted to learn
What was burried, deep in the ground?
This is where Chomp shared what he found
This is the end. The trail is complete
But don't be sad, horseman is not obsolete
Follow the arrow, go to hell
Go collect some heads, may they serve you well!

First I want to thank Jason for his work and effort into this event.
We had a blast solving it with the group on Discord.
Secondly I'd like to thank all the people who in some way or form helped with the riddle.
We couldn't have solved it without your help. Even the slightest contribution can make a huge difference!
Special thanks to Yikes, Risvh and Killian. They sacrified their in-game lives to get cursed for the good cause.
You can find all progress in this Google sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ … sp=sharing
All clues add together form a poem which leads to the location: (keep in mind there are still some speculations which might cause some minor errors)
Turn back now if feeling weak
No adventure for the meek
Gold and silver shall you seek
Start in land of eagle's beak
Deep in shire until today
Market new as morning's ray
Nottingham you eat yo(u)r fill
South from tavern on the hill
Deer in field will come play
Gentle paw has tucked away
Reservations from the west
Round the pond will lead you best
Someday soon you near the rusty mountain bypass lead to north
Rocky upwards carry forth
Stop at tree with double mark
Orange and black are hung from bark
Stones on hill to north-northwest
Wall has spot to sit and rest
Careful now you're almost through
309 on compass true
146 feet walk up hill
Close enough to feel the thrill
Double pine tree is quite rare
Peek behind and find it there
Rotting log leans on the back
Lift and look for something black
Rest for now, you won the race
Ancient treasure to embrace
And all the world in its right place

What a great event, such a fun take on the treasure hunt idea.

Jason has time for a treasure hunt, but not the time to finishing his game.
After a year of nothing, we get this?
Typical Jason!!

Pretty cool.
I like this kind of thing, merging the game with reality.
Now that, is interesting. ;-)
