On a related note to people typing "666"

I have checked, and there is one player on every server that spawns in and is saying 666. If they are born a baby they say 6, then 66 as their character max is upped. They do not move, I think I saw one type something after 666 but cannot tell you for sure what it was. There is one on every single server, so I am not sure how this problem should be addressed.

I just had this baby 4 times in one lifetime. I was really tired of this person.

Re: On a related note to people typing "666"

These "666 people" look like bots....>_> They behave like one.
There cant possibly be 1 person in ALL 15 servers spamming 666.
Most of these are 666 Eves.

They are, however, preventing people from being reborn in camps on other servers.

They don't move when you lead a bear onto them, I can tell you that much.

I was born to an eve that ran around in circles saying "666 I AM REAL", maybe that's what you saw.

Re: On a related note to people typing "666"

I was in server 15 and can confirm this is happening there as well.  I made some progress in the game and had 2 children repeatedly.  One of them would immediately run south in a zig-zag pattern and the other was the "666 I AM REAL" character.  Both could spawn as Eves so I lost all my progress when I was reborn as one of their children.  Very disruptive.

Re: On a related note to people typing "666"

So, like I said, there was one on every server, so it was likely to be bots. I just dont know how and how the problem should be addressed. I just checked and the eve I was born to was moving one block at a time while still repeating herself.

Re: On a related note to people typing "666"

If this is a bot, jason can just look up who is typing "666" constantly and then just ban that account, right?
I dont understand why you would write a bot that is so obvious.

Re: On a related note to people typing "666"

He can also see who the 1 person is at any given time on each of the servers. The trouble with my understanding is the account keys. I believe if you try to run multiple clients with the same account key then it does not work. So, they either spoofed or skimmed or whatever the account keys. So, I am unsure if banning the account key would work.

Re: On a related note to people typing "666"

It also is highly disrupting for anyone trying to play. Granted the way ive mostly been playing is not ideal. I usually go into an empty server, set up some stuff, then die of old age so I can come back to the same area as eve. So for me, I am now running outside killing all the wolves and bears I can find while I am still fertile. I tried doing some crafting but the amount of bodies was just ridiculous. Even on server 1 where there were the most people, this damn thing kept popping up in eve camps. So if anyone wants to be my body man you can probably find me on server 11 right now. I almost never do carrot farms, just a couple patches for sheep, compost, and horses.

Ok i see, if there is a person that is able to create account keys, than this is probably very bad for the game.
I wonder how this stuff works. How do people figure out how to create account keys?
If you gain access to the code that checks the account key, you can make a key generator.
But i am sure jason is aware of this and all the checks are server side, so people cant see the code / how the keys are generated.
If you have access to alot of keys, you might be able to figure out a pattern, but i think this very difficult and you need alot of keys for it in the first place.
Maybe that person brute forced the keys? Sending alot of random keys to the server until one gets accepted?
But also this sounds very unlikely since the private key is long and the chances of guessing a right one should be extremely small.

Edit: I realized when you login you need to put in your mail and your key, so we can assume that your key is connected with your mail.
When you create an account the server might just create a random key and map it to a mail.
If this is they case, i have no idea how anyone would be able to create more keys.

Numbers can't be typed in chat, try it yourself. Either it's a hack of some kind or a bot written by jason himself for trolling people.

At least this game look like the game alive while playerbase is dying pretty quickly. Repetitive tedious works and bots ard not really what we excepted.

Re: On a related note to people typing "666"

It is not childish to bring up a potential issue with the game, and it is not complaining, it is a discussion. I can see how this "bot" could be some sort of proclaimer of end times unfearing of death brought up by Jason himself. But my personal opinion is that it is an outside individual manipulating some aspect of the game that could very well be a serious problem. If someone can manipulate account keys in one way or another, the system could be compromised. If you look on the live server list, there is always one person in each server. It used to be that there were several with zero players. ever since the player cap was increased, there were more servers with zero players. My point is not to whine, my point is that there is suspicious activity on all of the servers at any given time. If you do not find that peculiar than we disagree.

I also think that it is an outside individual and i think its very likely that this person reads the forum, and this thread. big_smile
I wonder is jason aware of this bot? what is his opinion to this? Does he know whats causing the problem?
Does he want to talk about it, or does he prefer not to?
I am just curious, thats all.

Re: On a related note to people typing "666"

We learn on discord that they start moving, maybe they are learning, maybe they are trying to kill everyone.

But we know players have stop playing and this 666 events makes spawn like many eves and babies. If we removed those bots that are on customs we see that the playerbase population is really fuckig low. People are leaving in mass the game.

46 legitimates players or less on server 1, maybe half people are bots or none but this scary, game is dying hard
