Did Tool Slots Hold Back Clothing Getting Made?

When they existed, and of course it's better that they don't any more, did you or anyone you've talked to just not make clothes some lives, because doing so would use up a tool slot?

No because people would (and still do) dedicate their whole life making clothing, and clothing benefits everyone as it get passed from Generation to Generation.

Needle and thread was just one tool slot, so it wasn’t anything major to worry about.

Was adze a tool slot?

One tool slot could be a lot for those smithing.

I guess I'm unusual in that I'll try to get clothes like a bowler hat, and warm shoes (either clogs or rabbit shoes) for myself and my children at least in towns... though not in an Eve camp.

Is someone who is a dedicated smith to the point that they are using a bunch of tool slots, also going to be trying to make clothes?

Make clothes for their own self, maybe.  Make clothes for other people, probably not much if at all.

More dead content wasn't consistent with the food changes (both food generational decline and cravings), including the feast table change.  Some people also interpreted the temperature overhaul as being about motivating content (though explanations suggested more from what I recall).  The water system change from ponds to springs and pumps busting, also happened after Jason seeing some towns using a bunch of deep wells instead of making any sort of pump... and as I recall, Pein had suggested that just upgrading some spots to deep wells might be better.   Then again, maybe there's no consistent philosophy about whether content should get motivated or not.

That did make me laugh fug.

And sure, it's not my best by far.

It was a question, also.

Look, I often end up making my own clothes.  If I *had* played in towns where tool slots existed and making my own clothing was relevant, I might have used up a slot or two (if using the adze took up a slot, pants, clogs, and a bowler hat would have been two slots).  Then if I were to go smith or parts of a bunch of different projects which weren't gathering, running out of slots probably would have been a given.

Why the hell are tool slots still in the code, and why the hell do we still have items listed as "tools" in the game screen?
