Sadly, I don't have any proof (wasn't recording or anything) but I encountered a guy who was either exploiting a glitch or just straight up hacking today.
I was born a boy and didn't like my village, so my grandma told me to find the other village where my aunt was living. TL;DR I left at like ten or so using the instructions she gave me. An old man from a different family (I was Iron family) chased after me and was notably more faster than I was. He was boasting about it too. He followed me for a short while before dying suddenly to old age.
Can't really describe it but it was definitely something like speed hacks. I wasn't lagging and he was moving a lot faster than any normal player.
Not sure what else to do but I do remember his name, if that helps?

I'm sure he was in pose.
You can enter pose (kill mode)
Fist one to be in pose gets speedboat if other join him
Not a hack but also not intended use
It's use is to be faster with support by other than a lone griefer

Nah, he had no weapons and wasn't in kill mode. There was also no one around/no one trying to attack anyone else. Could he still be speedy that way?

It's 100% the posse bug, we've known about it since it was released. Until the recent posse changes it wasn't ever realistic to get the permanent speed boost but now it's rather simple.
All you need to do is have someone trigger kill command and either others do the same or hold an item and state "I join you" less than 8 tiles away from growly boy. Once you drop the kill command everyone who participated gets a speed boost ranging from 1-2x extra speed.
Worlds oldest SID baby.

That's weird...
The other posse members should still have murder-mouth, right?
And they should leave the posse if they ever drop what they are holding.
I'm sure there's a bug in here somewhere, but staying in a posse after the leader drops out is working as intended (assuming that you still have murder-mouth)
Hopefully people can figure out the exact steps to trigger this and post it here:
