Maybe the same way we can declare peace at least two Elders (over the age of forty because fifty five is to old in my opinion). can appoint a "Sheriff" and "deputy" these two players could use a certain in game item "Cuffs" designed similarly to the Lasso. The sheriff or deputy can capture the griefer or just in general person who needs timeout for misconduct in the family and they can take them to a jail cell (a small property fenced area with a gate access only the sheriff an deputy can open. While in jail the person would be considered a prisoner to the game if they chose to starve themselves while in jail a family ban would be placed the same if they were killed by the family.
Ideas for new game mechanics an items would be: two elders appointing Sheriff and Deputy who are of atleast fifteen years of age. A weapon that can only be used on prisoners by the sheriff or deputy that ignores property fences (sheriffs pistol). gate or cubby hole that allows items but not people to pass through property fence without opening gate (such as weapons and food), Handcuffs with lead rope that only sheriff an deputy can pick up an use, Execution death (Killed while in Cuffs,Killed by sheriff), If the prisoner starves to death while in jail their death could be listed as Hunger strike instead of starvation, a way to "call 911! much how the stabbing of someone alerts the medic with the "!" at the edge of your screen.
It would of course be a big update and take some time but I believe this update might put an end to all the murder(inside a family), with this system in place we could have a way to manage griefers and take away the ability to kill with knives and bow an arrows. We really don't even need the cubby hole right away since we can teleport food into the prisoner using the basket stack technique.
And yes I know some griefer will find a way to abuse this an play nice only to become sheriff an then try an lock up innocent people to starve them or something idk griefers guna grief but!!! As maybe a backup if a sheriff or deputy abuses their power two or three elders can revoke their privliage and appoint a new one. when priviliage is revoked the "sheriffs pistol will fall from their person(this item should be attachable to person with holster or something). This demoted person will not be able to acces prison anymore an the new one can. Maybe as added bonus the demotion causes a movement slow down so the evil sheriff cant run away from justice!. ooo maybe even the "911" system somehow causes the person accused to slow down. "help get Mike eulima" Mike eulima would then have a timed slow down so sheriff could catch him with cuffs. once in cuffs he cant move unless led and the sheriff can question everyone involved and decide to free mike(probation) or jail him.
Thats what Ive thought of so far, what do you guys think? good idea bad idea? and please dont just trash the idea unless you think you have a better one, lets work out any kinks together and propose it to Jason.
