Dear A., you rock. When I was born as your kid I took you to my camp but told you I had little hope of ever finding it again because I had the misfortune of losing it by getting disconnected just before the big change in the Eve spamming algorithm. You were just plain nice: fun and smart and nice. Several big updates later, I keep spawning in the same heinous prairie, failed camps all around, at least 7 bears loose around the spawning zone, I almost wrote OHOL off and tried Don't Starve.
This morning, one hour to waste, I log in, fully expecting the Shitty Prairie Experience. I spawn 20 tiles from a camp. A camp I know from ages ago, months. And not in-game months, mind you. Memory hazy: I visited so many Eve camps. Still, really familiar. South-east of the smithy I spot branches laid in a suspiciously straight diagonal. Fuck! That's what left of an arrow I made for the offline Eve when I visited her camp and traded her black top hat for my blue bowler hat. But... Everything should be gone, I saw other camps being wiped out since the update. Well. Let's follow my own arrow. I remember it wasn't that far, but I was riding, back then.
A, I found my camp! It was pristine--well, as pristine as anything of mine can be. AND a son I had buried me and built a cute cow pen. AND you came back to my place for a visit and left me SUCH nice gifts and a lovely note.
I immediately rode to your place with gifts and joy, but strayed too far east and found the big nice camp you mentioned. It's impressive indeed.
I'll visit in my next life. I hope you'll be there. I want to dance with you.
I got my camp back and I have the best neighbor a person can hope for!
Edit: Yes, I may have drunk a bit too much.
